Bobcats fall 35-14

TRINITY – The Phil Campbell football team opened its third straight season with a loss Friday as the Bobcats lost 35-14 at East Lawrence.
The Eagles jumped out to a 14-0 lead before Phil Campbell quarterback Jeff White hit Dillan Hamby for a 40-touchdown strike in the first quarter.
East Lawrence scored the next 21 points before the Bobcats added a late touchdown. White found Justin Knight for the second score on a 12-yard pass.
Phil Campbell will travel to Tanner next week for its first region game of the season.
