    Charles Lynch, 57, of Vina, Ala., passed away Monday, Feb. 16, 2009, at his residence. He was born April 2, 1951 in Haleyville to Tiney and Eula Farris Lynch. He was a truck driver for STI for 20 years.
    Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18 at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay with Bro. David Kelley and Bro. Buddy Ellington officiating. Visitation will be available until the funeral service Wednesday. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery in Golden, Miss.
    He is survived by his son, Michael Lynch and wife Cindy of Red Bay; daughter, Carey Lynch and husband Jeff Gober of Vina; grandchildren, Adrian Lynch, Alex Lynch, Shelby Lynch, Kyli Peters, Hunter Peters and Casey Peters, all of Red Bay; cousins, Betty Horton and husband James of Red Bay and Judy Smith of McMinnville, Tenn.; aunt, Jewel Franks of McMinnville, Tenn.; nieces, Tina Ford and Jana Porter; and nephew, Eric Lynch.
    He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Larry Lynch.
    Pallbearers will be James Horton, John Horton, Adrian Lynch, Bill Morrow, G.W. Hudson and Eric Lynch. Honorary pallbearers will be Benji Hauerwas and Steve Criswell.
    Annie Mae Bell Hulsey

    Annie Mae Bell Hulsey, 64, of Natural Bridge, Ala., passed away Thursday, Feb. 19, 2009, at Long Term Care of Tuscaloosa. She was a member of Mt. Vernon Church.
    Funeral services were Saturday, Feb. 21 at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville with Bro. Terry Duncan officiating. Burial was in King School House Cemetery in Natural Bridge.
    She is survived by her children, Cindy Mae Reed and husband John, Sandy Faye Garrison and husband Pete and Rocky Joe Hulsey and wife Joyce; sisters, Mary Duncan, Sue Bell and Jane Densmore; brothers, David, Otis and J.D. Bell; grandchildren, Cynthia Renee Barton, John Michael Reed, Kriston Faye Garrison, Jillian Hope Garrison, Jessica Nicole Hulsey and Devan Blake Hulsey; great-grandchildren, Janson Taylor Barton and Jaxon Alexander Barton; and a host of relatives and friends.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion Jackson and Millie Vera Bell; husbands, Jackie Joe Hulsey and Jack Holley Harris; sisters, Mayne Lee Raper and Minnie Williams; and brothers, Lecil James Bell and Rayford Lee Bell.
    Ezra Clifton "Cliff" Mashburn

    Ezra Clifton "Cliff" Mashburn, age 99, died Thursday, Feb. 19, 2009, in Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Smithfield, N.C. He was born Oct. 18, 1909, in Franklin County, Ala., to the late John Toliver and Lula Nemqua Fleming Mashburn and was the widower of Lois Almeda Rae Mashburn, who died March 31, 2004. He was a U.S. Navy veteran who served during World War II.
    The memorial service was Monday, Feb. 23 in Hannah's Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Courtney officiating.
    He is survived by his sons, Jay Hugh Mashburn of Muskegon, Mich., and Timothy Lee Mashburn of Fruitport, Mich.; daughters, Vera M. McKenzie of Saint Johns, Mich., and Sandy Mashburn Fusco of Smithfield, N.C.; step-son, Donald Rae Franks of Muskegon, Mich.; half-sisters, Helen Pounders of Russellville, Cherouise Bird of Harpersville and Yvonne McKeller of Pine City, Minn.; 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
    In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the DAV Chapter 44, 213 North 7th Street, Smithfield, NC 27577 or the American Cancer Society, c/o Phyllis Thornton, P. O. Box 1544, Smithfield, NC 27577.
    Parrish Funeral Home in Selma, N.C., assisted the family.
    Elmer June "Jimmie" Vincent

    Elmer June "Jimmie" Vincent, 74, of Russellville, Ala., passed away Friday, Feb. 20, 2009. She was a member of Waco Church of Christ.
    Funeral services were Monday, Feb. 23 at Akins Funeral Home in Russellville with Bro. Larry Prince officiating. Interment was in Franklin Memory Gardens.
    Pallbearers were Tony Vincent, Cliff Vincent, Matthew Vincent, Kevin Vincent, Mike Vincent and Ryan Fuller.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Vincent; son, Jimmy Marlo Vincent; parents, R.M. and Lissie Hill Chandler; and siblings, Gene Chandler, Mary Bell Wright and Ezzlee Hagan.
    She is survived by her sons, Bobby Vincent and wife Joyce and Danny Vincent and wife Karan; sisters, Imogene Williams and Mary Ruth Ezzell; brother, Steve Chandler; grandchildren, Terrie Fuller, Tony Vincent, Cliff Vincent, Matthew Vincent and Kevin Vincent; great-grandchildren, Ryan Maddox, Cade Fuller, Kaylee Fuller and Olivia Paige Vincent; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    The family expresses their sincere appreciation and thanks to Dr. Webb, Dr. Moutagaly, Hospice of the Shoals, the Palliative Care Unit and nursing staff at ECM, Bro. Larry Prince and all our family and friends for their visits, prayers and support.

    Cherrie Nell Pate, 73, of Phil Campbell, Ala., passed away Friday, Feb. 20, 2009, at Russellville Hospital.
    Funeral services were Monday, Feb. 23 at Shady Grove Free Will Baptist Church with Bro. David Sanderson and Bro. Mark Daniel officiating. Interment was in Shady Grove Cemetery.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, Orbin and Edna Senkbeil; husband, Howard Pate; brother, Jesse Senkbeil; and sister, Refa Dell Senkbeil.
    She is survived by her brother, Wendell Senkbeil and wife Linda; step-son, Frankie Pate and wife Kathy; five nieces and nephews; seven great-nieces and nephews; and there great-great-nieces and nephews.
    Pallbearers were Shane Senkbeil, Jimmy Senkbeil, Zack Senkbeil, Phillip Hall, W.G. Cochran and Harold Nix.
    Spry Memorial Chapel assisted the family.

    Ruby Mae Rhodes, 83, of Haleyville, Ala., passed away Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009. Funeral services were Monday, Feb. 23 at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville. Burial was in Macedonia Cemetery in Haleyville.

    Christine Beal, 52, of Red Bay, Ala., passed away Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009, at Red Bay Hospital.
    She was born January 21, 1957, in St. Joseph, Mo., to Julian C. and Rebecca Marshburn Jenkins. She was a factory worker and a member of Assembly of Christ House of Prayer. She attended the AZ State School for the Deaf &Blind and graduated from the Talladega School for the Deaf &Blind.
    Funeral services were Thursday, Feb. 26 at Assembly of Christ House of Prayer in Dennis, Miss., with Bro. Jackie Hastings officiating. Burial was in the Assembly of Christ House of Prayer cemetery.
    She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Larry Beal of Red Bay; mother, Rebecca J. Marshburn Jenkins of Red Bay; sisters, Carolyn Smither and husband Harlan of St. Joseph, Mo., Priscilla Jenkins of Los Angeles, Ca., and Madeena Jenkins of Red Bay; sisters and brothers-in-law, Frances Pritchard of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Peggy Davis, Dan Beal, Jo Beal, Janice Douglas, Wanda Waugh and Michael Beal, all of Huntingdon, Tenn., Kathy Jowers of Dallas, Texas, and Lisa Frantzman of Memphis, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her father, Julian C. Jenkins.
    Pallbearers were Al Frantzman, Marcus Beal, Joey Waugh, Harlan Smither, Jim Miller and Jimmy Hastings.
    Deaton Funeral Home in Red Bay assisted the family.

    Funeral services will be Wednesday, Feb. 25 at 1:30 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel in Haleyville. Burial will be at Arley Congregational Church Cemetery.

    Funeral services will be Wednesday, Feb. 25 at 11 a.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel in Haleyville. Burial will be at Winston Memorial Cemetery.

    Billy "Rod" Gene Duncan, 71, of Russellville, Ala., passed away Monday, Feb. 23 at Russellville Hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Franklin County and a retired sawmiller.
    Funeral services will be Wednesday, Feb. 25 at 2 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel in Russellville with Woodrow Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Belgreen Cemetery.
    He is survived by his children, Charlotte Kay Honey and Barbara Gail Withers, both of Russellville; brothers, Wilmer Duncan, Travis Duncan and Dexter Duncan, all of Russellville; grandchildren, Julie Kay Rea and Daniel J.W. Honey; and several nieces and nephews.
    Pallbearers will be Danny Pounders, Lonnie Gann, Shannon Welch, Zack Black, Aaron Welch, Jessie Edwards, Trent Edwards, Eddie Nichols and Tony Edwards.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Exie Mae Duncan, and sisters, Louise Weeks and Betty Michael.
