Red Bay earns road split

Cody Armstrong went 4-for-5 with four RBIs on Friday as Red Bay pounded Decatur Heritage 15-6 to earn a doubleheader split.
Armstrong's two-run homer keyed a six-run first inning, and the Tigers (14-4) also put up six runs in the top of the fifth.
Nathan Hopkins was 3-for-4 with two doubles and four RBIs, and Dillon Massey had three hits. Stephen Prestage added two hits and two RBIs, and Nicholas Taylor was 2-for-4 with three RBIs.
Morgan Stanfield had two hits, and Brandon Brown added a pair of doubles.
Hopkins was the winning pitcher.
In the opener, Decatur Heritage rallied for three runs in the bottom of the seventh to beat Red Bay 10-9.
Derrick Miller was 2-for-4 with three RBIs for the Tigers, and Prestage had three hits. Armstrong went 2-for-3, and Stanfield drove in two runs.

The Tigers pounded out 15 hits in Thursday's rout of Hazlewood.

Derrick Miller drove in two runs, and Dillon Massey was 2-for-3 with an RBI. Ely Cox had a hit and an RBI, and Nicholas Taylor added one hit.
Red Bay broke the game open with seven runs in the top of the second inning.
The Tigers were scheduled to face Speake on Saturday and will return to action Wednesday in the Franklin County Tournament.
