Belgreen student makes it fourth round in state spelling bee

Belgreen fifth grader Tyler Hargett made it to the fourth round of the Alabama Spelling Bee in Birmingham this past weekend.
The bee went into 14 rounds with a Shelby County home-school student taking the title.
Saturday's contest at the Birmingham Museum of Art included 65 children, grades 3 through 8, from counties statewide.
He is the son of Dwight and Joan Hargett.
