Striving to create a better newspaper

Over the past four months the staff here at The Franklin County Times has been hard at work to make our newspaper a better newspaper.
That means everything from adding more stories, feature sections and columns to cutting the price of our newsstand copies, which went into affect today.
For a little more than a month we have been in the process of rolling back our rack prices. Now, it's finally complete.
Effective today, as a thank you to our readers in Franklin County, we've scaled back our rack copy prices from 75-cents to 50-cents.
Even though we have rolled back the prices on our newsstand copies, I still encourage you to stop by and get yourself a subscription. Not only will we bring it to your home three times per week, but it's an even larger discount annually.
We routinely offer subscription and renewal specials to our home delivery customers and are pleased to finally offer a discount to our newsstand customers.
In the past quarter, we have added a features page on Friday, a locally written food page on Sunday and several new columnists, including Paul Finebaum.
These additions, coupled with the discounted rack prices and the subscription specials we offer regularly, are all part of our continuous effort to make The Franklin County Times the best newspaper in Franklin County.
The evolution of this newspaper is by no means complete.
The ball is still rolling and we hope that you've enjoyed the changes we've made thus far.
The staff at The Franklin County Times is excited about the changes we have made and those that we plan to continue to make as this newspaper continues to evolve.
This has been Franklin County's newspaper for 128 years and we appreciate each one of them.
