Hines' 32 not enough in loss to Hazlewood

Hollie Hines scored 32 points for Tharptown on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough as the Lady Wildcats fell to No. 3 Hazlewood 81-52 at Northwest-Shoals Community College in Phil Campbell.
Tharptown (9-8) trailed by nine at the end of the first quarter before Hazlewood took control by out-scoring the Lady Wildcats 27-11 in the second quarter.
The Lady Golden Bears (12-4) led 47-22 at the half.
Tharptown played Hazlewood close in the second half, as the Lady Bears out-scored the Lady Wildcats just 17-16 in the third quarter and 17-14 in the fourth.
Lachare Reedus led Hazlewood with 20 points. Amber Jones added 17, and Jasmine Patton finished with 16.
Hines was the only player in double figures for Tharptown. Autumn Hatton and Lauren Scott each added six points for the Lady Wilcats, and Lindsey McCluskey had five.
Tharptown returned to action last night with a game at R.A. Hubbard.
The Lady Wildcats will travel to face county rival Vina tonight.
In other action tonight, Muscle Shoals will visit Russellville in a Class 5A, Area 16 showdown.
In Class 2A, Area 16 action, Phil Campbell will visit Mars Hill tonight and Red Bay will travel to face Cherokee.
Belgreen will return to action on Tuesday at home against Shoals Christian.
