Wilfred Bill Lawrence, age 67, of Haleyville, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2006, at Russellville Hospital.
Mr. Lawrence was a member of Delmar Baptist Church and was a retired truck driver. He served in the Navy and National Guard. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fletcher and Belle Lawrence; and two brothers, Vartie Lee Lawrence and Willard Lawrence.
Graveside funeral services were held on Monday, November 27, 2006, at Old Macedonia Cemetery with Arthur Rayburn officiating.
Mr. Lawrence is survived by his wife, Margie Feltman Lawrence; two step-sons, Lowell H. Jackson, Jr. of Maryland and Brian A. Jackson of Guin; a step-daughter, Joyce Cavender and husband Kurt, of Bear Creek; a sister, Augulina Lenley of Birmingham; and three grandchildren, Keysha A. Cavender, Kody A. Cavender and Jun H. Jackson.

Gladys McKinney

Gladys McKinney, age 91, of Golden, MS, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2006, in Vina.
Mrs. McKinney was born February 10, 1915, in Dennis, MS, to Arthur Lee and Mary Lou Flurry Hopkins. She was a housewife and a member of Tishomingo Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Haskel McKinnney; and three brothers and one sister.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 26, 2006, at Tishomingo Baptist Church with Bro. Robbie Crane officiating. Interment was in Tishomingo City Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Gary Armstrong, Benton Armstrong, Benji McKinney, Joshua McKinney, Jeff Stricklen and Royce Hopkins.
Mrs. McKinney is survived by four children, Bennie McKinney and wife Quay, of Guin, Wade McKinney and wife Mary Jo, of Nesbit, MS, Theresa Farris and husband Harry, of Peoria, AZ, and Neva Armstrong and husband Dennis, of Vina; three sisters, Velma Taylor of Iuka, MS, Grace Rayburn of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Mildred Franklin of Leland, MS; one brother, Donald Hopkins of Tishomingo, MS; eight grandchildren, Angie Tilley and husband Dwight, Benji McKinney, Laura McKinney, Joshua McKinney, Christina Farris, Gary Armstrong, Benton Armstrong and wife Tasha, and Benita Armstrong; and four great-grandchildren, Cassidy Tilley, Devin Tilley, Madisyn Armstrong and Macie Armstrong.

John Lewis Odom

John Lewis Odom, age 78, of Henderson, Kentucky, formerly of Sebree, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2006, at Methodist Hospital in Henderson.
Mr. Odom was a member of First Baptist Church. He was a member of Jerusalem Lodge #9. He was a past Shriner, a Kentucky Colonel, and a member of Eastern Star. He was a World War II Navy Veteran. He retired from Agrico after 40 years. He was also employed by McDonalds. He was recognized by the Henderson City Police Department.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, November 17, 2006, at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home in Henderson, Kentucky with Rev. Todd Linn officiating. Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Odom is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Jean Saint Odom; three daughters, Karen L. Odom of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, Debbie Scarborough and her husband Scott, of Corydon, Kentucky, and Denise Johnston and her husband Ben, of Baskett, Kentucky; one son, John Wayne Odom and his wife Anita, of Bowling Green, Kentucky; four sisters, Betty Wright of Henderson, Kentucky, Reva May and Dean May, both of Providence, Kentucky, and Joyce Wells of Owensboro, Kentucky; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
