Elder, Thorn exchange vows

Daisy Marie Elder of Haleyville and Roger Anthony Thorn Jr. of Russellville were wed Aug. 5 at 3 p.m. in Double Springs.
Randy Jones officiated the service.
The bride is the daughter of Woody Elder of Haleyville. She is the granddaughter of Jack and Elizabeth Elder of Haleyville.
The groom is the son of Roger Anthony Thorn Sr. of Russellville and Annie Glenda Thorn of Phil Campbell. He is the grandson of Wallace Theo Thorn of Russellville, Estelle Willie Thorn of Russellville and the late Riley Manuel Williams of Phil Campbell and the late Belzona Williams of Phil Campbell.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Bridesmaids were Sherry Deken of Haleyville, Cassie Deken of Haleyville and Shala Sartin of Lynn.
Joe Thorn, the groom's brother, of Russellville, was best man.
Groomsmen were Chase Hutcheson of Russellville and Dustin Preutt of Russellville.
Bethany Nelson of Cullman was flowergirl and Jacob Smith of Haleyville was ring bearer.
Wedding music was provided by C.J. Turner of Bear Creek. Cindy Nelson of Haleyville and Belinda Nelson of Cullman assisted with the reception. The couple now resides in Russellville.
