Officials break ground on preschool building

Mars Hill Bible School directors, local officials and Mars Hill supporters broke ground on a new preschool in Russellville on March 30.
The new building will be located on Lawrence Street between U.S. 43 and Alabama 24. Mars Hill schools are affiliated with the Church of Christ. The new building will be funded by the H.M. and Lena Bobo Foundation.
Mars Hill supporter and Bobo Foundation member Mickey Ergle agreed.
The new building will replace the current Mars Hill Preschool location on Hemlock Street in North Highlands.
The groundbreaking was also attended by Rachel Chandler, director of all five Mars Hill Preschool campuses, members of the Bobo family, Russellville Mayor Johnny Brown, Franklin County Sheriff Larry Plott, Billy Smith of Smith General Contractors in Florence, and preschool supporters.
Mars Hill is a 12-month preschool. The preschool features daily Bible classes and chapel gatherings.
