RBPD arrests three for theft

The Red Bay Police Department arrested three men this week in connection with an ongoing theft investigation that could result in more arrests.
Donnis Elrod, 46, of 904 County Road 1 in Red Bay, was charged with first degree receiving stolen property and remained in jail at press time. Rodney Strickland, 24, of 1890 Jimmy Raper Road in Red Bay, was charged with second degree receiving stolen property and is currently out on $5000 bond.
Greg Hudson, 20, of 612 6th Street NW in Red Bay, was scheduled to turn himself in to authorities this morning, according to Red Bay Police Lt. Eddie Chandler.
The investigation began on Feb. 4 and involves more than $150,000 worth of stolen merchandise taken from Triple H Electronics in Red Bay as well as several items stolen from businesses in Belmont and Golden, Miss.
According to Chandler, the theft of the items from Triple H Electronics took place over an extended period of time, possibly for as long as eight or nine months.
The investigation has been a joint effort of the Red Bay Police Department, Golden, Miss., Police, Belmont, Miss., Police and the Tishomingo County, Miss., Sheriff's Office.
