Services for W.F. "Bill" Sanders will be held today at 3 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel.
Mr. Sanders, 76, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was born in Kosciusko and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Air Force. After his military service, he became a long time resident of New Orleans, where he served the city as Director of Fiscal and Property Management for nearly 20 years. His longing for his native Mississippi remained a part of him until he returned and began the position of garage superintendent for the City of Meridian in June 1980. He enjoyed the people who worked with him, and contributing to the growth of a city he cared for deeply. A tireless and dedicated worker, Mr. Sanders, was responsible for the modernization and improvements of many of the processes involved with the operation of the City's garage until his retirement in May 1999.
He will be remembered as a loving and committed father and husband, who will be missed deeply.
Survivors include his wife, Gerda E. Sanders of Meridian, formerly of Kostrzyn, Germany; sons, William M. Sanders and his wife, Kasia, of New Orleans and George D. Sanders and his wife, Karen, of Bellingham, Wash.; grandchildren, Stephanie Fricke and Nicholas Dunaway; a brother, James R. Sanders and his wife, Elaine, of Clarksdale.
Visitation will be today one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
PHILADELPHIA Services for Ray Faulk will be held Sunday at 2 p.m at Pleasant Springs Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Vernell Daniels officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. McLain-Hays Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Faulk, 86, of Preston, died Friday, Oct. 8, 2004, at Mississippi State Veterans Home in Kosciusko. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 30 years, serving in World War II, Korea and Vietnam.
Survivors include his wife, Ellaine B. Faulk of Preston; a sister, Addie Williams of Louisiana; and a brother, Arnold Faulk of Magnolia, Ark.
Visitation will be held today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home and 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.

DEKALB Services for Martha R. McShepard will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at St. Mark United Methodist Church in DeKalb with the Rev. Dr. Wayne Bass officiating. Burial will be in Depot Hill Street Cemetery in DeKalb. E. E. McDonald Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. McShepard, 101, of DeKalb, died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2004, in her home.
Survivors include her sons, Granell McShepard and his wife, Ester, of Nashville and Everett McShepard and his wife, Shelber, of DeKalb; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Grace Jones, Hazel Love and Myrtle Moore and her husband, Charlies Jr., all of DeKalb and a brother, E.V. Roberts of DeKalb and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Visitation will be today from 7 p.m.-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home in DeKalb and Sunday one hour prior to the service at the church.

PHILADELPHIA Services for Clilton Clark will be held Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with the Revs. David Cook and Ricky Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery in Neshoba County.
Mr. Clark, 70, of Carthage, died Friday, Oct. 8, 2004, at Choctaw Residential Center in Neshoba County.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Sue Clark of Carthage; sisters, Dorothy Jolly of Philadelphia and Audrey Redding of Foley, Ala.; a brother, James Willard Clark of Philadelphia and a step-son, Adam Roebuck of Carthage.
Visitation will be held today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

PHILADELPHIA Services for Connie Marie Fortenberry will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. at Crossroads Baptist Church in Union with the Rev. Curt Pace officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. John E. Stephens Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Fortenberry, 59, of Madden, died Friday, Oct. 8, 2004, at Hospice in His Hands in Madden.
Survivors include her daughters, Shelly Belk and her husband, Dean of Carthage and Janet Belk and her husband, Tommy, of Union; sons, Kevin Collins and his wife, Brandy of Kosciusko, Sam Collins and his wife, Ruth, of San Antonio, Texas and Warren Collins of Carthage; sisters, Rita Lewis of Tennessee and Linda Lewis of McComb; brothers, W.J. Demarest of Tennessee and Terry Demarest of Albany, La., and 12 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Fortenberry.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. at the church.
Arrangements were incomplete at E.E. McDonald Funeral Home for Joseph D. Buck Sr., 87, of Meridian, who died Friday, Oct. 8, 2004, in his home.
Arrangements were incomplete at E.E. McDonald Funeral Home for Mitchell Lampley, of Atlanta, formerly of Preston, who died Friday, Oct. 8, 2004, in his home.
Arrangements were incomplete at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home for Toby Ezell, 34, of Meridian, who died Sunday, Oct. 3, 2004, in his home.
DEKALB Arrangements were incomplete at Stephens Funeral Home for R.C. Hailey Jr., 85, of DeKalb, who died Thursday, Oct. 7, 2004, in his home.
