Saturday The Alawine reunion will be at Ryan's Steakhouse on Frontage Road in Meridian at 6 p.m. The Skinner and Thaggard families are also invited. Please be on time and sign in as you arrive. Call Dean Hodgins at 986-2765.
Saturday The Clarke County/Central High School reunion will be at the Meeting Place (Shriner's Building) in Quitman from 6 p.m.-1 a.m. The cost is $20 per person. This is the first reunion for former students, staff, their descendants that attended or taught at the schools in Enterprise. All interested persons are invited to attend. Saturday The families of the late William and Annie Rasberry will hold their annual reunion at Clarkco State Park. All relatives are invited to attend. Picnic lunch will be served at noon.
Saturday Lynville High School in Preston will host its annual reunion at Tommy's Steak and Seafood restaurant on Highway 39 North in Meridian from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. all students, their spouses and teachers are urged to come. Sunday The annual Martin reunion will be at Bonita Lakes pavilion on the dam from 11 a.m.-until. All descendants of the late Norman and Martha Anderson Martin are invited to attend the potluck meal. Call Elaine Spence at 659-4424.
Oct. 8-9 Meridian High School Class of 1959 reunion reception will be at Union Station from 6 p.m.-10 p.m. Oct. 9, 6 p.m.-midnight at the Quality Inn Ball Room. For reservations and information, call Becky Vance at 483-3073 or Shirley Gidden at 483-5783.
Oct. 9 Old Oakland Heights School reunion will be from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Shelter No. 4 in Highland Park. Bring a covered dish, drinks and any old photos of the school and classes at past reunions to share. Former students, teachers and families of former students are invited to attend. Oct. 9 Students and teachers who attended Carmichael School are invited to a reunion at the Carmichael Community Club (the site of the old school building). Spouses and families are also invited. Oct. 10 The 10th Annual Wilson Family Reunion at the Cleveland Old School House on Highway 16 East of Philadelphia. Potluck lunch will be served at 1 p.m. Plates, cups, forks and ice will be furnished. For information, call Lou Ross at (601) 743-5217 or Sue McLemore at 485-5177.
Oct. 10 Descendants of Henry and Sarah Harrell Fox, South Carolina natives who came to Mississippi from Alabama about 1835, will hold their 50th annual reunion at Hugh White State Park Lodge in Grenada. Coffee and registration begin at 9:30 a.m. Picnic lunch will be in the lodge dining room with those from Mississippi brining lunch for their families and out-of-state cousins.
