Peavey adds new jobs,
products

Aggressive development and marketing strategies for new high-end products have resulted in an increase in orders and the hiring of 140 additional employees at Meridian-based Peavey Electronics Corp.
Hartley Peavey, founder and chief executive officer of the company one of the world's largest manufacturers of musical instruments and professional sound equipment made the announcement Friday.
All of the new jobs were added since April, half of them coming after a Peavey job fair in May.
Peavey's new product development strategies, particularly in the sound reinforcement and guitar divisions, along with focused artist relations and marketing efforts, provided the catalyst for the new orders.
The company's new high-end HP Signature* Series guitars, exclusive Jack Daniel's® brand instruments and amplifiers and Sanctuary Series product line, the only church-specific audio products on the market, are among the most talked-about offerings.
Peavey Electronics maintains more U.S.-based manufacturing than any other major musical instrument and sound equipment manufacturer in the world.
