Services for Audie Edwards Castano will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Jimmy Harrison and Father Elvin Sunds officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Castano, 84, of Meridian, died Saturday, June 19, 2004, at her home. She was a homemaker and a member of Central United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband Louis Castano of Meridian; a daughter, Eleanor Edwards Hinson and her husband Grady of Meridian; stepchildren Irma George and her husband Jerry of Loganville, Ga. and Barbara Lantaff and her husband Gary of West Minister, Colo.; two grandchildren, Terri McKelvaine and her husband Mike ant Ty Hinson, and his wife Tiffany; five stepgrandchildren, Tanya George, Kristina George, Lisa Lantaff, Wendy Lantaff and Tracy Lantaff; four great-grandchildren Tyler Hinson, Saylor Hinson, Hayes Hinson, and Chole McKelvaine; a sister, Bonnie Jean Middleton and her husband Eugenn of Jackson and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Fred Edwards.
Pallbearers will be Dr. Luis Borrell, George Mangus, Ronny Adams, Kenneth Adams, Steve Middleton and Phillip Middleton. Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Buster and Dr. Ramiro Martinez.
Memorials may be made to the Hope Village for Children.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
GULFPORT Services for Edwin "Everett" Wright Sr. will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Riemann Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum. Riemann Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Wright, 70, of Gulfport, died Friday, June 18, 2004, in Gulfport. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, a member of First United Methodist Church in Gulfport and was active in Boy Scouts.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred "Millie" Wright of Gulfport; a son, Edwin Wright Jr. and his wife Julie of Gulfport; brothers, Dan D. Wright of Kosciusko and James E. Wright of Evadale, Texas; sisters, Mailande Drake of Jackson, Ga., and Mary Katherine Mathis of Quitman; two granddaughters, Ashton and Anna Wright, of Gulfport and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mitchell and Cleo Meaders Wright.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Gulfport or to a charity of choice.
Visitation will be today from 6 p.m.-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
BUTLER, Ala. Services for Albert Sidney Wallace will be held Monday at 3 p.m. at Bumpers Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Tommy Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Toxey. Bumpers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Wallace, 95, of Gilbertown, died Saturday, June 19, 2004, at Heartfelt Hospice in Meridian. He was a sawyer for a sawmill.
Survivors include his sons, Pete Wallace of Butler and W. George Wallace of Semmes; daughters, Louise Chappell of Slidell, La., Ollie Pearl Smith of Mobile and Lyda W. McCary of Butler; brothers, Greenberry Wallace of Oregon and Fred Wallace of Florida; sisters, Susie Stafford of Gilbertown, Ruby Robinson of Whynot and Laurine Cooper of Mobile; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nettie, and a sister, Wilmer.
Visitation will be Monday beginning at 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
Arrangements were incomplete at Clark's Memorial Funeral Home for Bill Clarke, 92, of Durham, N.C., who died Friday, June 18, 2004, at Rose Manor Health Care Center in Durham.
Arrangements were incomplete at Barham Funeral Home for Ruby N. Graham, 75, of Meridian, who died Saturday, June 19, 2004, in Fort Smith, Ark.
Arrangements were incomplete at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home for Katie B. Hall, 61, of Meridian, who died Saturday, June 19, 2004, at her home.
