Community Bank captures Jimmie Rodgers victory

CHOCTAW Community Bank edged Rose Mobile Homes by a stroke to win the Jimmie Rodgers Four-Person Scramble Thursday at Dancing Rabbit Golf Club Azaleas Course.
Community Bank shot a 13-under par 59, while Rose Mobile Homes came in one stroke back at 60. On the winning team were Eric Stubbs, Earl Aycock, Jr., Kelly Swain, and Bubba Hampton.
Making up the Rose Mobile Homes team were Alex Weddington, H.G. Weddington, Danny Presley, and Cliff Martin.
WMOX took third place on a scorecard playoff after four teams finished deadlocked at 61. On the WMOX team were Ed Smith, Bob Smith, Bill Smith, and Guy Woodward. Also at 61 were the teams representing Budweiser, Barham Funeral Home, and UBS #2.
Next year's plans could include making the annual event a two-day affair.
