Humphrey, Hand

Laura Leigh Hand of Butler, Ala., and Seth Adam Humphrey of Auburn, Ala., were married Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003, at First Baptist Church in Butler, with the Rev. Jim Whidden officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Frank P. Hand Jr. of Butler, and Dr. and Mrs. William Raymond Humphrey of Dothan, Ala.
Grandparents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Frank P. Hand Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Neal Oliver, Thelma E. Moore and the late Fred D. Moore, Christine Oliver and the late Raymond Oliver.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Alberta Humphrey and the late Claude Raymond Humphrey, and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Richard Snyder.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Mary Beth Cavert, harpist; Melanie Brannon, pianist; and Matthew Cornelson, soloist.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Ashley Nicole Hand of Auburn, Ala., served as maid of honor. Other attendants were Dede McCluey of Phoenix City, Ala., Haley Erin Henslee of Trinity, Ala., Megan Hand and Kyndle Hand, both of Lisman, Ala., Devin Goff of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Kim Humphrey and Emily Grace of Dothan.
Honorary bridesmaid was Misty Sisson and junior bridesmaid was Anna Elizabeth Pope, both of Butler. Olivia Cowan of Butler was flower girl.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Ryan Hand of Butler, Matthew Humphrey and Gaven Grace, both of Dothan, Robert Syfrett and Patrick Dyle of Auburn, Loren Russell of Montgomery, Ala., and Trent Givens of Tuscaloosa. Honorary groomsman was Kyle Hand of Vicenza, Italy.
Adam Humphrey of Dothan served as ring bearer.
Rice bag attendants were Abby Snyder and Alan Snyder.
A reception was held in the church fellowship hall following the ceremony.
After a honeymoon in Aruba, the couple resides in Auburn.
