DEKALB Services for Willie Vester Lewis will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church in Collinsville with the Rev. Evan McDonald officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. E. E. McDonald Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Lewis, 100, of Meridian, formerly of Collinsville, died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2003, at Reginald P. White Nursing Facility in Meridian.
Survivors include his brother, Dolphus Lewis and his wife, Alberta, of Collinsville; sisters, Lillie Lewis Reaves of Vineland, N.J. and Bena Mae Emerson of Meridian; and several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings.
Visitation will be today from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at E.E. McDonald Community Chapel in Meridian and one hour prior to the service at the church.

FOREST Services for Evelyn Morehead Idom will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Pulaski Baptist Church in Pulaski. Burial will be in Searcy Cemetery with Ott and Lee Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Idom, 84, of Scott County, died Friday, Sept. 12, 2003, at Mississippi Care Center in Morton.
Survivors include her husband, Ollie T. "Bill" Idom; three sons, John Risher and Henry Risher, both of Pulaski and Larry Risher, of Harperville; seven daughters, Ruth Weems, of Harperville, Ann Boykin Johnson, of Homewood, Gaynell Risher and Peggy Sullivan, both of Forest, Cheryl Marler, of Morton, Pam Pope, of Collinsville and Beth Killingsworth of Los Angeles; a half-sister; 23 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held today from 5:30 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

PHILADELPHIA Services for J.D. Johnson will be held Monday at 2 p.m. McClain-Hayes Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will be in Eastlawn Cemetery in Philadelphia.
Mr. Johnson, 78, of Meridian, died Friday, Sept. 12, 2003, at his residence. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, European Theatre, as a medic.
Survivors include four sons, Don Johnson, of Philadelphia, Mickey Johnson, of Milton, Fla., Phil Johnson, of Pasadena, Texas and Wade Johnson, of Meridian; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Inez Gibbs, of Philadelphia.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Services for Gladys "Earline" Elam will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Goodwater Baptist Church with the Revs. Hal Ethridge and Phillip Duke officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Miss Elam, 88, of Meehan, died Friday, Sept. 12, 2003, at King's Daughters and Sons Retirement Home.
Survivors include numerous cousins, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Betty Elam; a brother, Everett Elam; and sisters, Emmy Elam and Eula Elam.
Visitation will be Monday from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home and 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.

Services for Minnie Reid will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Little Zion Methodist Church in Stonewall with the Rev. Jimmy Jones officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Reid, 62, of Sacramento, Calf., died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2003, at her home.
Survivors include her husband Brother Reid, of Sacramento; five children; her parents, Otis and Ruth Bland, of Quitman; a sister, Betty R. Kidd, of Racine, Wis.; four brothers, Jessie Bland and C.L. Bland, both of Racine, Otis C. Bland, of Sacramento and Edward Bland, of Quitman; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Graveside services for Rabbi Leo Eliezer Turitz will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Temple Beth Israel Cemetery. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Rabbi Turitz, 91, of Las Vegas, died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2003, at Nathan Adelson Hospice West.
Arrangements were incomplete at Clark's Memorial Funeral Home for Geraldine Grant, 57, of Meridian, who died Saturday, Sept. 13, 2003, at Heartfelt Hospice.
