Services for Amanda McAlpine will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jake Brown officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery. Berry and Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. McAlpine, 100, of Meridian, died Monday, April 14, 2003, at Queen City Nursing Home.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Mary F. McAlpine of Meridian; a grandson, Tyrone McAlpine and his wife, Gloria; a granddaughter, Frances Gail Jones and her husband, Preston, of Meridian; great-granddaughters, Debbie Jones Kenny and her husband, Dwight, of Macon, Ga., and Semone McAlpine of Meridian; great-grandsons, Kenneth M. Jones of Greenville and Jermaine McAlpine and his wife, Yolanda, of Meridian; six great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Roberta Sylvester; her husband, Willie McAlpine; a son, Henderson McAlpin; two brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be Friday 7 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

WAYNESBORO Services for the Rev. Robert Jewell Sanderson Sr. will be held today at 11 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church in Poplarville with the Revs. Jimmy Knight, Bobby Sanderson and Tim Sanderson officiating. Graveside services and burial will be in Serenity Gardens in Waynesboro at 10 a.m. Thursday. Freeman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The Rev. Sanderson, 71, died Monday, April 14, 2003.
Survivors include his wife, Amy May Sanderson; children, Bonnie Britton and her husband, Robert, of Columbus, Ga., the Rev. Robert J. Sanderson Jr. and his wife, Judy, of Columbus, Beth Havard and her husband, Carl, of Mobile, Ala., the Rev. Tim Sanderson and his wife, Marsha, of Medina, Tenn.; grandchildren, Deric Britton and his wife, Bethany, Dallas Britton, Justin Havard, Robert Sanderson III, Jessica Havard, Stephen Sanderson, David Sanderson, Melody Sanderson and Jared Havard; great-grandchildren, John David Britton, Lauren Britton and Stephen Britton; a brother, John E. Sanderson and his wife, Lois, of Poplarville; and a sister, Dimple Seals of Poplarville.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Oradene Moore Sanderson; his parents, James Garfield and Bonnie Singleton Sanderson.
Memorials may be made to Bethel Baptist Church Building Fund in Poplarville, Jimmy Knight Evangelistic Association or the Gideon's International.

MACON Services for Bessie Otis Hunter will be held today at 11 a.m. at Mashulaville Baptist Church with the Revs. Kevin Goza and Clain Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Mashulaville Cemetery in Macon. Cockrell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hunter, 90, of Milton, Fla., formerly of Macon, died Friday, April 11, 2003, in Milton.
Survivors include her son, Ben Otis and his wife, Mildred, of Milton; a brother, Linzy Simmons and his wife, Margaret, of Pensacola, Fla.; a sister, Lillian Boone and her husband, Dallas, of Cantonment, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Julius Clayton Otis and Edward Hunter; brothers, Cloyace Simmons and Clinton Simmons; and a sister, Evelyn Bradley.
Memorials may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church, 4187 Highway 90, Pace, FL 32571.
Visitation will be today one hour prior to the service at the church.
Retired detention officer
Services for Annie Grace Dial will be held today at 11:30 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Van Moore officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Dial, 75, of Meridian, died Monday, April 14, 2003, in Meridian. She was a detention officer with the Jackson Police Department.
Survivors include her daughters, Rita Mapp and her husband, Gary, of Raymond, Olivia Edwards and her husband, Clyde, of Pelahatchie and Lynn Wickweir of Meridian; a brother, Richard Watkins of Meridian; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Levi Dial.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
