Services for Mary Davis Graham will be held today at 11 a.m. at Enterprise Funeral Home with the Rev. Chad Hearn officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Graham, 75, of Meridian, died Friday, March 14, 2003, at Alliance Hospice.
Survivors include her son, Tommy Graham of Meridian; three brothers, Clifton Davis of Meridian, William Mack Davis and Lovell E. Davis, both of San Francisco; and sisters, Johnnie Mae Payton of San Francisco and Rosie Pearl Dixon of Meridian.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dozier Graham; and a daughter, Mary Deloris Graham.
Retired maintenance worker
Graveside services for Jerry Mack Pogue will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Kenny Pogue officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Pogue, 63, of Meridian, died Tuesday, March 18, 2003, at Riley Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Marsha Pogue; sons, Steve Pogue of Cabot, Ark., and Mark Pogue of Philadelphia; sisters, Clarice Davis and Margaret Watkins, both of Meridian; brothers, Lenard O. Pogue of Meridian and Jack Pogue of Quitman; and two grandchildren, Nick and Shelby.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin Monroe Pogue and Thelis Ponds Pogue; and a brother, Joe Pogue.
Mechanic
BUTLER, Ala. Services for Alfred Lorenzo Thompson will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Morgan Chapel Baptist Church with the Revs. Buddy Braddock and Dennis Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Chapel Cemetery with Bumpers Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Thompson, 82, of Toxey, died Monday, Mach 17, 2003.
Survivors include a son, Jimmy Thompson of Butler; a daughter, Patricia Thompson Cave of Toxey; a brother, Jeremiah Thompson and sisters, Matie Long and Myrtle Allday, all of Mobile; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lavelle Thompson; and a son, Jerry Wayne Thompson.
Visitation will be today from 5:30 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Retired farmer
Services for C.C. "Carlton" Stovall will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with the Revs. Carl Stephens and Chris Smith officiating. Burial will be in Spanish Oak Cemetery in Kemper County.
Mr. Stovall, 87, of DeKalb, died Tuesday, March 18, 2003, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Elois Stovall of DeKalb; daughters, Shirley Teer of Preston, Jane Stovall and Polly Smith of DeKalb; sons, David Stovall of Grand Bay, Ala., Buck Stovall and Jimmy Stovall of Philadelphia; 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Student and landscape artist
Memorial services for William "Will" Melton Gill will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Harrison officiating.
Mr. Gill, 23, of Meridian, died Friday, March 14, 2003, in Meridian.
He was a 1998 graduate of Northeast High School, where he was voted "Most Talented" Among America's High School Students. He then continued his education at Mississippi State University in architectural design, where he was a Dean's List scholar. He was currently enrolled at Meridian Community College studying art.
At MCC, he received first place honors for his artistic creations in ceramics and painting. Not only was he an artist, but a musician, writer and inspiration to so many.
He was self-employed as a landscape designer and accomplished many goals in his life, excelling academically, mentally and spiritually.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Rebecca "Lynne" and James L. Hasson of Meridian; his father, Donald Oren Gill of Hattiesburg; sisters, Anna Rebecca Gill of Asheville, N.C., and Victoria Hasson of Meridian; brothers, James and Matthew Gill of Hattiesburg; a stepsister, Andrea Rose of Hattiesburg; a stepbrother, Brad Allen, currently serving in Afghanistan; his grandparents, Billy and Peggy Melton of Meridian; his grandmother, Hazel Gill of Hattiesburg; an uncle, Michael Melton and his wife, Sandy, of Meridian; an aunt and uncle, Cindy and Allen Carlton of Forest City, N.C.; and several cousins and friends.
The family requests memorials be made to the art department at Meridian Community College.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Chief Warrant Officer Oren Gill.
Visitation will be Thursday 5 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
