    During his ministry he helped organize 26 new churches and was instrumental in the development of Aldersgate Retirement Community.

    He served on the board of trustees of Millsaps College and as president of its alumni association. He also served on boards of the Wesley House Community Center and Aldersgate.
    Survivors include his wife, Emily Stafford Matheny; daughters, Elise Eslinger and her husband, Richard, of Dayton, Ohio, and Cynthia Brooks and her husband, Phillip, of Meridian; sons, the Rev. Dr. Mark Matheny and his wife, the Rev. Emily Matheny, of Memphis, Tenn., the Rev. Jim Matheny and his wife, the Rev. Kristen Williams Matheny, of Gulfport; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a brother, Dr. Thad Matheny of Rome, Ga.; and a sister, Mary Finch of Dickenson, Texas.
    Memorials may be made to the organ fund at Central United Methodist Church in Meridian.
    Pallbearers will be Doug Fort, Scott Gray, Maurice Hall, Brad Huff, David Rosenbaum and Ron Walton.
    Graveside pallbearers will be his four grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be United Methodist ministers of the Mississippi Conference, members of the Bob Matheny Sunday School Class at Central United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Dorothy Rainwater, Babs Straus, Josie Smith, Jamie Graham and Charles Graham.
    Visitation will be Friday 9 a.m.-11 a.m. at the church.

    WAYNESBORO Services for Mary Falconer will be held today at 1 p.m. at Wesley Chapel A.M.E. Church in Rose Hill with the Rev. George Price officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery in Rose Hill. Turner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Falconer, 81, of Jackson, died Friday, Nov. 22, 2002, in her home.
    Survivors include her sons, Marshall Falconer Jr. and James Falconer, both of Detroit; daughters, Rita Falconer of Detroit and June Hill of Jackson; a brother, James Sims of Walnut Grove; and 11 grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Falconer Sr.; and a son, Robert Falconer.
    Visitation will be today one hour prior to the service at the church.
    Mae Greenlee
    PHILADELPHIA Services for Mae Greenlee will be held today at 2 p.m. at John E. Stephens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Larry Smith officiating. Burial will be in White Oak Cemetery.
    Mrs. Greenlee, 67, of Philadelphia, died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
    Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Dearing and her husband, David; a son, Jerry Greenlee and his wife, Deborah, all of Philadelphia; sisters, Bettie Adams of Edinburg and Linda Bane of Philadelphia; brothers, James Orville Kea, Orman "Pug" Kea, both of Philadelphia and Tommy Kea of Castlewood, Colo.; and four grandchildren.

    LOUISVILLE Services for Herbert Leroy Dillard will be held today at 2 p.m. at Nowell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Fred Fraizer Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Sunrise Cemetery in Noxapater.
    Mr. Dillard, 68, of Meridian, died Monday, Nov. 25, 2002, at Madison County Medical Center.
    Survivors include his sister, Martha Case of Montgomery, Ala.; and a brother, Ray Dean Dillard of Meridian.
    Visitation will be today noon until service time at the funeral home.
    Heidi Jo Peaster

    MACON Services for Heidi Jo Peaster will be held today at 2:30 p.m. at Brooksville Mennonite Church with the Revs. Galen Schmidt, Gladwin Koehn and Kendall Yost officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Cockrell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Ms. Peaster, 20, of Noxubee County, died Saturday, Nov. 23, 2002, near Vanceboro, N.C.
    Survivors include her parents, Dwayne and Nancy Peaster of Macon; sisters, Shonica Poag of Macon and Maria Kochn of Aberdeen; three brothers, Cameron Peaster of Brooksville, Marwyn Peaster-Wanham of Alberta, Canada, and Silas Peaster of Macon; her paternal grandfather, Marvin Peaster of Brooksville; and her maternal grandparents, Marshall and Pauline Harris of Walnut Hill, Fla.
    Memorials may be made to Countryside Christian School in Brooksville.

    QUITMAN Graveside services for Jason Michael Gudmundson will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Archusa Memorial Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Seal officiating. Wright's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Gudmundson, 28, of Pachuta, died Monday, Nov. 25, 2002, at University Medical Center in Jackson.
    Survivors include his grandparents, William E. and Rose Mary Volking and a sister, Jamie Ford, all of Quitman; and several aunts and uncles.
    Annie M. Mason

    Services for Annie M. Mason will be held Friday at 11:30 a.m. at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Timothy Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Pachuta.
    Mrs. Mason, 83, of Meridian, died Friday, Nov. 22, 2002, in her home.
    Survivors include her daughters, Joyce Wade of Las Vegas, Carrie Sims of Perris, Calif., Gladys Naylor of Fort Dodge, Iowa, and Anna Rogers of Meridian; a son, James Pigford of Los Angeles; 27 grandchildren, 64 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death her her husband and her parents.
    Visitation will be Thursday 5 p.m.-6 p.m. at the funeral home.

    QUITMAN Services for Jimmie Evans will be held Friday at noon at White Oak Baptist Church with the Rev. Sylvester Donald officiating. Burial will be in Archusa Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Turner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Evans, 101, of Southfield, Mich., died Friday, Nov. 22, 2002, at Providence Hospital in Southfield.
    Survivors include his wife, Annie Bell Evans of Southfield; a son, Thomas Nanace of Detroit; a daughter, Deborah Harley of Southfield; and three grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by a daughter, Maude Jean Evans.
    Visitation will be Friday one hour prior to the service at the church.
    Spurgeon R. Herrington

    UNION Services for Spurgeon R. Herrington will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Milling Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Kevin Meador officiating. Burial will be in Neshoba Church Cemetery.
    Mr. Herrington, 72, of Union, died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
    Survivors include his sisters, Lenona Alford and her husband, Thomas, of Union, Evelyn Dixon and her husband, Junior, of Pearl, Annie Taylor and her husband, George, Bonnie Ward and Iva Adcock, all of Meridian; a sister-in-law, Janice Townsend of Meridian; and several nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by parents, Eunice Herrington and Robert Herrington; sisters, Izola Quick and Margaret Herrington; and a brother, Lee Otha Herrington.
    Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

    LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. Graveside services for Lois Arlene Wells Beebe will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Rose Hill-Magnolia Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Harrison officiating. Wages and Sons Funeral Home-Gwinnett Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Beebe, 85, of Sewanee, Ga., formerly of Meridian, died Monday, Nov. 25, 2002.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, James Norman Beebe.
