    MACON Services for Travis Eugene Hatcher will be held today at 11 a.m. at West Side Baptist Church with the Revs. Sterling Davis and Jack Sellers officiating. Burial will be in Enondale Cemetery in Kemper County. Cockrell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Hatcher, 77, of Macon, died Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2002, at Baptist Memorial Golden Triangle in Columbus. He was born and raised in the Lauderdale Community in Lauderdale County. He attended school at Lauderdale High School. He lived in Lauderdale until 1960 when he moved to Macon. He was a member of West Side Baptist Church. He was well known in the area for his mechanical abilities. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his earlier years and always enjoyed gardening and telling jokes. He loved his God and his family.
    Survivors include his wife, Ina Hatcher of Macon; a daughter, Rita Ellingburg, of Douglasville,Ga.; one son, LaVelle Hatcher of Rose Hill; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild; one brother, Roland L. Hatcher of College Park, Ga.; and special family members, Frank and Gail Fetner of Macon.
    Pallbearers will be Ricky Nelson, Frank Fetner, Albert Bartlett, Robert Bartlett Jr., W.A. Lowry, and Odell Higginbotham. Honorary pallbearers will be Sid Webb, George Williams and Ed Hunt.
    WAYNIC N. SATCHER
    QUITMAN Graveside services for Waynic N. Satcher will be held today at 11 a.m. at Elim Cemetery with the Revs. Leon Parnell and David Manasco officiating. Wright's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Satcher, 85, of Quitman, died Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2002, at Heartfelt Hospice in Meridian.
    Survivors include his wife, Margaret Mullis Satcher of Quitman; a son, Larry Tuberville of Meridian; a daughter, Melissa Broadway and a brother, William Lee, both of Quitman; three sisters, Inez Gilmore of Rayville, La.; Ruby Ratcliff of San Angelo, Texas; and Hazel Gamble, of South Carolina; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
    GLADYS I. SCITZS

    Graveside services for Gladys I. Scitzs will be held today at 2 p.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery with the Rev. David Bowen officiating. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Scitzs, 69, of Collinsville, died Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
    Survivors include her daughter, Meriden Kotelac of Meridian; a son, Walter D. Scitzs Jr. of Big Prairie, Ohio; two grandchildren, Nikki Timberlake of Shreve, Ohio and Callie Scitzs of Big Prairie, Ohio; and one niece, Diane Richardson of Meridian.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter D. Scitzs Sr.
    CHARLES E. COMPTON
    Retired cabinet maker
    Services for Charles E. Compton will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Oak Grove Methodist Church with the Revs. Sephus Garrett and Kennith Owen officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Compton, 100, of the Clarkdale Community, died Thursday, Oct. 17, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Oak Grove Methodist Church.
    Survivors include his sons, William Compton and his wife, Doris, of Laurel, and Charles Wayne Compton and his wife, Pam, of Meridian; a daughter, Gertrude Hodges of Meridian; a brother, Herman Compton of Summerville, N.J.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and special caregivers, Cathy and Dewayne Fisher.
    Pallbearers will be Ronnie Compton, Butch Compton, Chuck Hodges, Bryan Compton, Mike Compton, and Leonardo Santacruz.
    Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.- 8 p.m. at the funeral home and Saturday 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.
    LOSSIE GOODIN
    Farmer
    LOUISVILLE Services for Lossie Goodin will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Tilghman Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Bobby Lowery and Billy Sodders officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
    Mr. Goodin, 99, of Louisville, died Thursday, Oct. 17, 2002, at Winston Medical Center in Louisville.
    Survivors include his daughter, Evelyn Luke; a son, Cecil Dean Goodin both of Louisville and Gerald O'Neal Goodin of Newton; 11 grandchildren; two foster children; 13 great-grandchildren; seven foster great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his wife, Ella Mae Wilson Goodin and a foster son, Jimmy Johnson.
    Visitation will be today from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
    CHESTER MCCOY
    Retired
    Services for Chester McCoy will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Mt. Valley Baptist Church on Seventh Avenue with the Rev. Ronnie Walk officiating. Burial will be in Barker Cemetery with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. McCoy, 72, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2002, at Riley Hospital.
    Survivors include his mother, Blannie McCoy Dove; a daughter, Lori Ann Jones, both of Meridian; a sister, Betty Mapp of Chattanooga, Tenn.; a brother, Jessie McCoy of St. Louis; and three grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his father.

    Arrangements were incomplete at Barham Funeral Home for Martin L. Slaton, 80, of Porterville, who died Thursday, Oct. 17, 2002, at Riley Hospital.

    NEWTON Arrangements were incomplete at James F. Webb Funeral Home for William Hearn, 93, of Hickory, who died Thursday, Oct. 17, 2002 at Guardian Angel Hospice in Marion.
