EMCC nips Gulf Coast on road, 10-7

PERKINSTON Daniel Spinks hit Maurice Cunningham with a 5-yard scoring pass with 15 seconds left to cap a miraculous 80-yard drive and lead visiting East Mississippi Community College to a 10-7 win over Gulf Coast Community College on Thursday night.
EMCC trailed 7-3 with 1:21 left when the Lions took over on their own 20-yard line.
The Lions took a 3-0 lead with 9:51 left in the third quarter when Will Moseley kicked a 35-yard field goal.
Gulf Coast then took a 7-3 lead on a 1-yard run on the first play of the fourth quarter.
After Spinks' touchdown pass, Moseley booted the point after to put East Mississippi ahead by three points. The Lions return to action on Thursday when they host Northeast Mississippi.
