    Mrs. Harrison went on to set up the libraries in the city school system and retired. She was a baptist and a member of the 15th Avenue Baptist Church for nearly 50 years as a teacher in the junior department. She was also very active with the library.

    Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Harrison; her parents, George C. Johnson and Mary Josie Johnson; four brothers, Houston R. Johnson, Herschel V. Johnson, Thurman C. Johnson and Lavalle Johnson; two sisters, Clennie Johnson Jenkins and Nola Johnson Stuart.
    Visitation is today from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
    GLADYS R. NORRIS
    TUSCALOOSA, Ala. Graveside services for Gladys R. Norris will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Oddfellows Cemetery in Quitman, Miss. Memory Chapel Funeral Home of Tuscaloosa is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Norris, 91, of Tuscaloosa, died Wednesday, June 26, 2002, at Heritage Health Care Center.
    Survivors include a daughter, Jean Wise Thurston and her husband, Frank, of Tuscaloosa; a son, Robert E. Norris of Muskegon, Mich.; two sisters, Nona Campbell of South Alabama; and Mildred Knapp of Mobile; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Eldridge K. Norris.
    Visitation will be held 30 minutes prior to the service at the cemetery.
    JOE NATHAN SCOTT
    Services for Joe Nathan Scott will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Greater Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. J. W. Perrien Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the St. Luke Masonic Cemetery with Enterprise Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Scott, 82, died Tuesday, June 25, 2002, at his daughter's home in Louisville. He was a longtime resident of Meridian and owned his own business as an electrician for more than 50 years. He was a member of the St. Luke Grand Masonic Lodge, No. 18, and a veteran of World War II.
    Survivors include six daughters, Alice Ruth Moore and her husband, Jessie, of St. Louis, Mo.; Mary Ann Chandler and her husband, Irvin, of San Francisco; Mary Holman-Smith and her husband, Willie, of Stone Mountain, Ga.; Clara Pearl Wilson of Louisville; Betty Jo McFarland and her husband, Ralph, and Sandra Jones, all of Meridian; a special sister-in-law, Elmira Scott of Meridian; 14 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, brother and two daughters.
    Visitation is today from noon to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
    JOHNNIE FAYE WILSON

    PHILADELPHIA Services for Johnnie Faye Wilson will be held Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy James officiating. Burial will be in HIgh Hill Cemetery in Neshoba County.
    Mrs. Wilson, 63, of Jackson, died Thursday, June 27, 2002, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.
    Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Lowman of Brandon; two sons, Thomas Wayne Burchfield of Jackson; and Steve Wilson of Pearl; four grandchildren; her father and step-mother, Herman and Claudia Jolly of Florence; and two step-brothers, John Langdon of Greenville; and Eddie Langdon of Florence.
    Visitation is today from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
    DANIEL WALKER HILL SR.

    Services for Daniel Walker Hill Sr. will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Thomas Ardd officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Berry &Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Hill, 95, of Meridian, died Wednesday, June 26, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a church trustee, a member of the Adult Men's Sunday School Class and was the oldest member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He also was a member of St. Luke Lodge No. 18, Prince Hall Affiliation.
    Survivors include his wife, Annie B. Hill of Meridian; a niece, Barbara Burrough and her husband, Edward; a sister-in-law, Charlotte Bingham of Meridian; and several nieces, nephews and other friends and relatives.
    He was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Walker Hill Jr. and his parents, a brother and two sisters.
    Visitation will be Sunday from 7 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church.

    Arrangements were incomplete at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home for Elizabeth Smith, 44, of Meridian, who died Wednesday, June 26, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.

    Arrangements were incomplete at James F. Webb Funeral Home for Mary Ida Madison, 90, of Tupelo, who died Thursday, June 27, 2002, at Cedars Nursing Home.
