    NEWTON Services for Maxine E. Phillips will be held today at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church with the Revs. Dr. Leroy Brewer, David Rives, Kent Phillips and Dr. Frank Harmon. Burial will be in Newton County Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Phillips,74, of Newton, died Tuesday, May 14, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a devoted wife and mother, a member of First Baptist Church in Newton, where she served as secretary/treasurer of the Fidelis Sunday School Class, and was a member of the choir. She sang with the church Gospel Choir and loved outdoor activities such as fishing and flower gardening. She was a peace-maker, beloved wife, mother and grandmother and was affectionately known as "Nana."
    Survivors include her husband, Malcolm C. Phillips; a daughter, Patsy York, both of Newton; sons, the Rev. Kent Phillips and his wife, Brenda, of Orlando, Fla., Larry Phillips and his wife, Valerie, of Franklin, Tenn.; grandchildren, Aaron Phillips, Danielle Shellenberg and her husband, Justin, Ben Phillips, Kate York, Curtis Phillips and Michael Phillips; brothers, Clemon Easom of Lake, Omar Easom, of Carrolton, Ky., and Roger Easom of Memphis, Tenn.; her aunt, Grace Gilmer of Wrangle, Alaska.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, T.C. and Carrie Shealy Easom; and a brother, Huey Easom.
    Memorials may be made to the Gideons.
    Pallbearers will be, Aaron Phillips, Ben Phillips, Curtis Phillips, Michael Phillips, Justin Shellenberg, Wilbert Easom, Sam Wamble and Billy Fletcher; honorary pallbearers will be, Bill Hand, Albert Carr, Bill Burkett, Lee Thompson, Tom Edwards, Danny Lindsey and members of the Fidelis Sunday School Class.
    ANNIE L. ROBINSON
    Homemaker
    Services for Annie L. Robinson will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Center Grove Baptist Church, with the Revs. Ervin Mooney and Weston Burnside Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Robinson, 94, of Causeyville, died Wednesday, May 15, 2002, at East Mississippi State Hospital.
    Survivors include her daughter, Willie M. Pogue of Meridian; five sons, Bobby Robinson, of Little Rock, William Robinson of Louisville, James Robinson, Billy Robinson and Jimmy Robinson, all of Meridian; and 20 grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer M. Robinson, her parents, Will R. Roberts and Nellie Robinson Roberts.
    Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home and 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.
    ANNIE B. LEWIS MILNER

    PHILADELPHIA Services for Annie B. Lewis Milner will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at John E. Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Vernell Daniels and Tommy Jones officiating. Burial will be in Sand Hill Cemetery.
    Mrs. Milner, 82, of Preston, died Thursday, May 16, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
    Survivors include her daughter, Martha Hailey and her husband, W. B. "Bootsie" Hailey of Preston; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
    Visitation will be today beginning at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
    STELLA LOE ATKINS
    COLUMBUS Graveside services for Stella Loe Atkins will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Friendship Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Clark Skelton officiating. Gunter &Peel Funeral Home of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Atkins, 80, of Alabaster, Ala., died Wednesday, May 15, 2002, at IHS Briarcliff Nursing Home. She was a graduate of Fayette County High School, and was retired in retail sales from J.C. Penney Company. She also worked for Riley Hospital for 17 years while living in Meridian.
    Mrs. Atkins was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the American Legion.
    Survivors include her son, Owen Oliver Atkins Jr. of Pelham, Ala.; a brother, Harold Loe of Tahoe, Calif.; a sister, Sue Mills of Newport News, Va.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Owen Oliver Atkins, her daughter, Joyce Conn and her parents, Alan D. and Cordelia Madison Loe.
    Visitation will be Saturday from 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
    ALTON PARTRIDGE
    Retired
    PHILADELPHIA Services for Alton "PawPaw" Partridge will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Bobby Barrier officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Kemper County.
    Mr. Partridge, 63, of DeKalb, died Tuesday, May 14, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a retired auto glass installer. He was born and reared in Lynville community of Kemper County and had made his home in DeKalb for the past 42 years. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Assembly of God Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
    Survivors include his wife, Rene Partridge of DeKalb, a daughter, Janet Ruth Hanshaw of Sontag; grandchildren, Angela Richardson of Scooba, Jeannie Smith of Porterville, and Carl Smith Jr. of Carthage; great-grandchildren, Samantha, Taylor, Kameron, Zachari and Keaton; sisters, Eloise Rouleau of Collinsville, Louise Villanueva of DeKalb; brothers, Wilmer Gene Partridge of Meridian, Idaho, Alvis Partridge of Meridian, Ed Partridge of DeKalb, James Partridge of Lindale, Texas, and Elton Partridge of Ringgold, La.; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Eugene Partridge and his mother, Hattie Partridge, a brother, Enos Partridge and a sister, Margie Partridge.
    Pallbearers will be Raymond Herring, George Raymond King, J. J. Edwards, Bobby Lee Haskins, Calvin White, Bobby Ainsworth and Homer Hall Jr.

    Arrangements were incomplete at James F. Webb Funeral Home of Newton for Ruby Inez Hurst Craig, 76, of Hickory, who died, Thursday, May 16, 2002, at Heartfelt Hospice in Meridian.

    Arrangements were incomplete at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home for Lorena Sherrod, 92, of Meridian, who died Wednesday, May 15, 2002, in her home.

    Arrangements were incomplete at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home for Ruth Yarbrough, 57, of Meridian, who died Wednesday, May 15, 2002, at Riley Hospital.
