    OBITUARIES FOR SUNDAY, MAY 13, 2001

    SAN ANTONIO, Texas Services for Ted L. Miles were held April 20 at Houston Terrace Baptist Church. Burial was in San Jose Burial Park.
    Mr. Miles, 77, died Tuesday, April 17, 2001.
    Survivors include three children, Janice Allen, Kenny Miles and his wife, Sherrie, and Beth Miles; two sisters, Norma Hull and Janice Mosley; two grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his wife, Maggeline Miles.
    JOHN E. MARTSCHING
    Retired U.S. Navy
    Services for John E. Martsching were held Saturday at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Russell Luguir officiating. Burial was in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Barham Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Martsching, 59, of Meridian, died Wednesday, May 9, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam and the Korean Conflict.
    Survivors include his wife, Maria M. Martsching of Meridian; children, Jocelyn Tejada and Jerry Martsching, both of Atlanta, Mathew Martsching and Mark Martsching, both of Arkansas; two brothers, Jim Martsching of Georgia and Larry Martsching of California; a sister, Cecelia Martsching and his mother, Lola Martsching, both of Georgia and 11 grandchildren.
    Pallbearers will be members of the military.
    ELLA MAY JAY

    Graveside services for Ella May Jay will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Magnolia Cemetery with the Revs. Mike Pilgrim and Robert Hindman officiating. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Jay, 100, of Meridian, died Saturday, May 12, 2001, at Meridian Community Living Center. She was a member of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
    Survivors include a daughter, Mary A. Busler of Meridian; a grandson, Charlie Busler and his wife, Sharon, of Meridian; a great-granddaughter, Rachel Busler of Meridian; a special friend, Wanda Lewis; and a number of nieces and nephews.
    Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
    Pallbearers include Keith Scruggs, Benny Earl Scruggs, Terry Lewis, Jimmy Hales, Ray Eubanks and Jerry Eubanks.
    VIRGINIA ANN DRAKE

    STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. Memorial services for Virginia Ann Drake will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Liberty Baptist Tabernacle with the Rev. Glen Anderson officiating. Horis A. Ward Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Drake, 54, of Rex, Ga., formerly of Meridian, died Saturday, May 12, 2001.
    Survivors include her husband, Ernie Drake; two daughters, Julie Ann Drake of Rex, and Deborah Gay Drake of Dunwoody, Ga.; a son, James Matthew Drake of Rex; a sister, Betty Jo Rhodes of Cartersville, Ga., and a number of nieces and nephews.
    The family requests memorials be made to Christian City or Liberty Baptist Tabernacle Foreign Mission Fund.
    Visitation will be held at the church following the service.
    INEZ E. PITTMAN
    ELLISVILLE Services for Inez E. Pittman will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Jones Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Stanley Phillips and Grady Dearman officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrims Primitive Baptist Cemetery.
    Mrs. Pittman, 84, died Saturday, May 12, 2001, at West Jones County Nursing Home.
    Survivors include four sons, William Albert Pittman of Hitchcock, Texas, Alfred Ray Pittman of Hattiesburg, Billy Wayne Pittman of Florence and Jimmy Dale Pittman of Ocean Springs; four daughters, Jewel Porter of Hattiesburg, Tina DeWolf of Bossier City, La., Joyce Reynolds and Jean Hays, both of Meridian; 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, William Harrison.
    Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
    DORIS VIRGINIA GADDIS WILLIAMS

    Services for Doris Virginia Gaddis Williams will be held Monday at 11:30 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Howard McKee officiating. Burial will be in Sageville Methodist Church Cemetery.
    Mrs. Williams, 75, of Meridian, died Friday, May 11, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
    Survivors include two sons, Bennett Jackson Williams and his wife, Pam and Randall Gaddis Williams and his wife, Teresa, all of Macon; four granddaughters, Angela Carroll Williams Urquhart and her husband, Tom, of Fort Worth, Texas, Michelle Virginia Williams Wilkerson and her husband, Bill, of Meridian, Olivia Katherine Williams and Anna Marie Williams, both of Macon; a brother, Robert Lewis Gaddis and his wife, Carrie, of Sageville Community; and a number of nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Jefferson Schoolar Williams; a sister, Nina Gaddis Wiggins; a brother, Edwin Herschel Gaddis; and a great-grandchild, Kristen Taylor Wilkerson.
    Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
    Pallbearers include Charles Wiggins, Richard Gaddis, Michael Gaddis, Gilbert Gaddis, Martin Gaddis and Benjamin Gaddis.
    Honorary pallbearers include David Gaddis and Terry Gaddis.
    CATHERINE A. CROW
    DEMOPOLIS, Ala. Services for Catherine A. Crow will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Kidd-Robbins Funeral Directors Chapel with the Rev. Benny Burleson officiating. Burial will be in Sumter County Memorial Gardens.
    Mrs. Crow, 74, of Demopolis, died Saturday, May 12, 2001, at Rush Specialty Hospital in Meridian.
    Survivors include her husband, John K. Crow of Demopolis; two daughters, Judy C. Duren and her husband, Gerald, of Demopolis and Jackie C. Townsend of Chattanooga, Tenn.; a son, Larry K. Crow and his wife, Sandra, of Thomasville, Ala.; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Louise D. Alverson.
    The family requests memorials be made to Children's Hospital in Birmingham or The American Cancer Society.
    Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
