    OBITUARIES FOR WEDNESDAY, MARCH 14, 2001

    FERRIDAY, La. Services for Willard Jane Williams will be held today at 2 p.m. at Young's Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff Hancock officiating. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery in Sicily Island.
    Mrs. Williams, 57, of Jonesville, died Monday, March 12, 2001, in Monroe. She was a school bus driver for Catahula Parish school system.
    Survivors include her husband, Riley Williams and a son, Timmy Joe Williams, both of Jonesville; a sister, E. Judy Keeton Kilgore of Meridian, Miss.; six brothers, Alton Keeton, David Keeton, Wayne Keeton, Roger Keeton and Don Keeton, all of Meridian, and Lucky Keeton of Toomsuba; 40 foster children and several nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie Howard and Lena Mae Keeton and a son, Johnny Lynn Williams.

    PHILADELPHIA Services for Elton Goolsby will be held today at 2 p.m. at Mars Hill Baptist Church in Leake County with the Rev. Herbert Eichelberger officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Goolsby, 77, of Carthage, died Saturday, March 10, 2001, in his home. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army.
    Survivors include a sister, Sue Parson of Mobile, Ala.; a niece, a nephew and several great-nieces and nephews.
    MARY ROBERTA MANLEY

    BUTLER, Ala. Services for Mary Roberta Manley will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Needham Assembly of God with the Revs. James Irby and Jimmy Moore officiating. Burial will be in Bogaloosa Cemetery with Bumpers Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Manley, 74, of Needham, died Monday, March 12, 2001, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
    Survivors include two daughters, Billie Rae Boykin of Mobile and Pennie Broadhead of Needham; two brothers, J.P. Whittington of Toxey and Willie Whittington of Ozark; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
    Visitation will be today from 6:30-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
    NELL MOWDY
    Homemaker
    Services for Nell Mowdy will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Keith Grubbs and Bill Webb officiating. Burial will be in Bethsadia Cemetery.
    Mrs. Mowdy, 72, of Meridian, died Tuesday, March 13, 2001, at Guardian Angel Hospice. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church.
    Survivors include four sons, Carl Mowdy Jr. and his wife, Janet, of Collinsville, Marshall Mowdy and Tim Mowdy and his wife, Vicki, all of Meridian, and Kendall Mowdy of Pensacola, Fla.; three grandchildren, Jason, Brooke and Jared Mowdy; two brothers, Billy Scott of Meridian and Leon Scott of Houston, Texas.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn Carl Mowdy Sr. and a son, Leslie Mowdy.
    The family requests memorials be made to Midway Baptist Church Building Fund.
    Visitation will be today from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
    DR. L. GORDON SANSING
    Baptist minister
    Services for Dr. L. Gordon Sansing will be held Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Richie Davis and Bill Webb officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
    Dr. Sansing, 87, of Meridian, died Tuesday, March 13, 2001, at Riley Hospital. He served as a Baptist minister for 68 years. He was pastor of Center Ridge Baptist Church in Kemper County, director of senior adults and staff consultant for Westwood Baptist Church, former chaplain and vice president of Civitan International. Dr. Sansing was director of evangelism of the Mississippi Baptist Convention.
    Survivors include his wife, Polly Sansing of Meridian; two sons, Tom O. Sansing and his wife, Kathy, of Collinsville and Dr. Gordon H. Sansing and his wife, Elese, of Forest; five grandchildren, Tim Sansing, Mark Sansing and his wife, Michelle, Brian Sansing and his wife, Robin, Sarah Sansing and Natalie Sansing; two great-grandchildren, Kathayn and Caroline Sansing.
    The family requests memorials be made to Baptist Children's Village, Westwood Baptist Church Building Renovation Fund or Center Ridge Baptist Church in Kemper County.
    Pallbearers will be Bill Duncan, Mark Sansing, Brian Sansing, Bobby Rose, Bill Price and Bill McKinnon.
    Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Westwood and Center Ridge Baptist Church, Lauderdale County Baptist ministers and Wayne Edwards, director of missions.
    Visitation will be today from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
    FREDDIE LEE SCARBOROUGH
    Services for Freddie Lee Scarborough will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at St. John Methodist Church in DeSoto with the Rev. George Price officiating. Burial will be in Archusa Memorial Gardens in Quitman with Enterprise Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Scarborough, 80, of Quitman, died Friday, March 9, 2001, in her home. She was the daughter of Delaney and Clayton Jackson and was born on August 17, 1920, in Elkhart, Ind. Mrs. Scarborough was a member of St. John's Methodist Church in DeSoto and a former member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Irvington, N.J. She was also active in several church groups.
    Survivors include her husband, Archie J. Scarborough; a daughter, Elizabeth Middleton Johnson; a son, Ralph C. Middleton; two stepsons, Napoleon Scarborough and Archie Scarborough Jr.; five grandchildren, Kendall C. Johnson, Stephannie L. Johnson, Anthony L. Johnson, Mark Middleton and Rodey Middleton; two great-grandsons, Christopher J. Johnson and Anthony Middleton; three brothers-in-law, a son-in-law, a sister-in-law and several nephews and nieces.
    Visitation will be Thursday one hour prior to the service at the church.
