    OBITUARIES FOR WEDNESDAY, FEB. 21, 2001

    IVORY NEEDHAM
    Graveside services for Ivory Needham will be held today at 1 p.m. at Bluff Spring Cemetery in Kemper County with the Rev. Windham officiating with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Needham, 89, of Meridian, died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2001. at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
    Survivors include a daughter, Inez Griffin of Meridian; 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
    DAVID ROBERTSON
    Former machine operator for Wells Lamont
    PHILADELPHIA Services for David "Bo" Robertson will be held today at 2 p.m. at Coye Assembly of God in Preston. Burial will be in Jacksonfield Cemetery in Preston with McClain-Hays Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Robertson, 59, of Preston, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2001, at Riley Hospital in Meridian.
    Survivors include his wife, Dot Robertson of Preston; a daughter, Delicia Crapps of Philadelphia; a son, Mark Robertson of Preston; two sisters, Erma Luke of Preston and Sarah Vickers of Philadelphia; a brother, Edward Robertson of Preston; and three grandchildren.
    RAYFORD KINARD
    Retired electrician for McLelland Electric Company
    Services for Rayford Kinard will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church with the Revs. Jerry Zgarba and Dr. Jimmy Williams officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Kinard, 69, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2001, at Rush Foundation Hospital. Kinard was an electrician and worked for many years for McElroy Electric and retired from McLelland Electric Company. He was a member of the IBEW Local 917 and a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church. He enjoyed woodworking and made many beautiful things. He was activated for the Korean Conflict and received a medical discharge. He was a gardener at heart.
    Survivors include two sons, Donald Ray Kinard and his wife, Gloria, of Bailey and David Wayne Kinard and his wife, Stella, of Meridian; three sisters, Kathleen Townsend and her husband, Cecil, of Collinsville, Mary Ella Cobb and Marjorie Miles, both of Meridian; four granddaughters, Brandi Kinard Collier and her husband, Jason, Elizabeth Kinard, Samantha Kinard and Stephanie Kinard; a great-granddaughter, Macayla Ann Kinard; a special friend, Michael Stancil; and several nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his wives, Ellen Jenkins Kinard and Peggy Gilbert Wedgeworth Kinard, and his parents Jake and Alice Kinard.
    Pallbearers will be Grady Richardson, Rachel Miles, Scott Hartman, Jackie Moore, Bruce Werner and Norman Jenkins.
    Visitation will be today from 5-8 p.m. and Thursday beginning at 10 a.m. at the church.
    THELMA BOYD
    Services for Thelma Boyd will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jason Bird officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
    Mrs. Boyd, 95, of Meridian, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2001, at King's Daughters and Sons Rest Home. She was a member of Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church and a former employee of the Liberty Shop. She was a buyer for Alex Loeb.
    Survivors include her niece, Bobby Dryden of Hattiesburg; three great nieces, Leslie McLemore Vick of Pensacola, Fla., Cindy McLemore Thomas and her husband, Greg, of Gulf Breeze, Fla., and Robin Dryden Vignes and her husband, Bobby, of Biloxi; and a great nephew, Steve Dryden and his wife, Mary, of Hattiesburg.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Leoanard S. Boyd, a niece, Betty McLemore and a sister, Lula Rawson Thomas.
    The family requests memorials be made to Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church or King's Daughters and Sons Rest Home.
    Visitation will be Thursday beginning at 1:30 p.m.
    JULIUS HUGH HOPPER III
    Owner of Hopper Seafood
    MOSS POINT Services for Julius "Pepper" Hugh Hopper III will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Holder-Wells Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Benny Still officiating. Graveside services will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Scooba.
    Mr. Hopper, 57, of Eagle Lake, died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2001. He served in the U.S. Navy.
    Survivors include his mother, Ann Hopper of Grandbay, Ala.; a daughter, Carla Mayfield and her husband, Brian Scott, of Saucier; two sons, Julius Hugh Hopper IV of Gulfport and Jeff Hopper of Saucier; two brothers, Paul Hopper and his wife, Denise, of Moss Point and Drew Hopper and his wife, Stephanie, of Pascagoula; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his father, Julius "Buddie" Hugh Hopper Jr.
    Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
    JAMES L. BOLDEN
    Retired librarian
    Services for James L. "Sonny Boy" Bolden will be held Friday at 7 p.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church with the Rev. Windham officiating. Burial will be in Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Bolden, 66, of Meridian, died Friday, Feb. 16, 2001, at Riley Hospital.
    Survivors include a sister, Laura Wilson of Meridian; two brothers, the Rev. Eddie Bolden and his wife, Mary, of Modesta, Calif. and Willie D. Bolden of Meridian.
    Visitation will be Thursday from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
    REV. BROOKS DRAKE
    Arrangements were incomplete at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home for the Rev. Brooks "Odell" Drake, who died Monday, Feb. 19, 2001, at Guardian Angel Hospice in Meridian.
    WILLIAM PAGE
    UNION Arrangements were incomplete at Stephens Funeral Home for William Page, 60, of Union, who died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2001, at Riley Hospital in Meridian.
