The Lady Wildcats recorded a loss to the Red Bay Tigers March 5 but saw a better game last week versus Colbert County.

Tharptown girls down Colbert County

Tharptown exploded for eight runs in the top of the first inning en route to a 10-4 win last week.

Shaylee Wieting, Taylor Cameron, Cara Ergle, Ameliah Dawson, Catie Dawson, Kyndall Morgan and Aly Vandiver all crossed the plate in the opening inning – Wieting twice.

Catie Dawson went two-for-two with two runs batted in and scored two runs. Morgan had a three-RBI game. Ergle and Wieting both had doubles.

Taylor Cameron got the win for the Wildcats.
