Getting it down to a science
Chemistry teacher Richie Hester critiques Austin Childers using a micropipette as Hannah Letson and Blake Hardin look on.
Vina High School chemistry class, under the direction of Richie Hester, is having the opportunity to use chemistry lab equipment provided by Chemistry in Motion through the University of North Alabama.
The program provides materials and equipment to participating high schools that would normally not have the opportunity to use it because of funding.
“This gives our students a chance to do more hands-on experiments and also a chance to use equipment that they would not normally see until they were in college,” Hester said.
