RHS drama department presents musical

“A Person’s a Person No Matter How Small.”

With these words, Horton attempts to save the small Whos on their fragile speck of dust. Everyone grew up reading Dr. Seuss’s books, but on Thursday, May 19 and Friday, May 20, the Russellville High School Drama Department will be bringing his famous works to life onstage.

Seussical tells the story of Horton the Elephant trying to save the small world of Who. Horton encounters many hardships, but he finds the strength to carry on with the help of his friend JoJo, who lives on Who, and Gertrude, a poor little bird with a one-feather tail who is desperately trying to impress him.

Follow the perilous story of Horton, JoJo, Gertrude, the jungle creatures of Nool, and the Whos as the Cat in the Hat guides you through the ride on Thursday, May 19 and Friday, May 20 at 6:30 p.m. in the RHS Auditorium.

Admission is $8 for students and $10 for adults. Arrive at 5:45 p.m. to let your children listen to the cast of Seussical read famous Dr. Seuss books such as Green Eggs and Ham, Oh! The Thinks You Can Think, Horton Hears a Who, The Cat in the Hat, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and Oh, The Places You’ll Go. Don’t be afraid to rediscover your inner child; hope to see you there!
