Congratulations to coach, players for All-State honors

Every year the Alabama Sports Writers Association is charged with the difficult task of selecting All-State teams for football, basketball, baseball and softball as a way to recognize the best athletes and coaches across the state.

Red Bay’s Hannah Sharp, Russellville’s Travis Daniels and Tharptown’s Jacob Parker all earned honorable mentions while Tharptown varsity boys coach Jonathan Odom was named the Class 1A Coach of the Year.

These individuals helped their teams make deep runs in the playoffs and were rewarded with the recognition they deserved for their talents and the dedication to their teams’ success.

The Franklin County Times would like to congratulate these players for a great year and the wonderful memories they gave fans of high school athletics in Franklin County.
