Congratulations to area teams for great seasons

The Franklin County Times would like to congratulate all of the area high school basketball teams for a great season.

Although none of the teams were able to complete their dream of winning a state championship, they represented the county well on the court.

Four teams — the Belgreen girls, Red Bay girls, Tharptown boys and Russellville boys — were able to reach the Northwest Regional Tournament while the Belgreen boys and Phil Campbell boys reached the sub-regional rounds of the playoffs.

They had fantastic seasons and should be recognized for the effort they put into the success they found on the court.

We hope the spring sports teams will also have a prosperous year as the baseball, softball, track, golf and tennis seasons begin.
