PC and Phil Campbells to help boost local economy

The influx of people named Phil Campbell to the town of Phil Campbell will provide not only interesting stories for years to come, but also some much needed tax revenue for Franklin County.

With all the visitors needing lodging, food and gas, the county could get a good boost from sales taxes, especially if all of the roughly 80 expected guests attend the event.

Local schools, which have suffered through several consecutive years of proration, could use the extra money since a good portion of their operating costs come from sales taxes.

The Franklin County Times would like to praise the town of Phil Campbell for hosting this event, as it will benefit both the town and the county.
