Barron Walker Kennerly, 47, of Hanceville, died Monday, March 8, 2010 at his residence in Hanceville.
He was born in Franklin County on May 15, 1962, to Robert "Charlie" and Bertie Walker Kennerly. He was a member of Gravel Hill Baptist Church in Phil Campbell and was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by a son, Walker Kennerly; a daughter, Christi Kennerly; his mother, Bertie Kennerly; the mother of his children, Sherry Kennerly; best friend and caregiver, Donald Ballard; two step-sisters, Janice Mayse and her husband, Glenn, and Rita Oliphant and her husband, James; and three step-brothers, Larry, Ricky and Randy.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, March 11, 2010, at Hanceville Funeral Home.
Pallbearers for the service included George Harper, Victor Porter, Ty Hester, Scotty Harper, Freddie Cantrell, Tom Hand, Mark Watts, or Jimmy Gaston.

Annie Lou Mitchell, 83, of Russellville, passed away on Monday, March 8, 2010, at Russellville Hospital.
The funeral service was Friday, March 12, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Spry Memorial Chapel with Rev. Michael Flaherty officiating. Burial was in Antioch Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter D. Mitchell; father, Phillip Pruitt; mother, Nola Pruitt; brothers, George Pruitt, Elvis Pruitt, Clifford Pruitt, Phillip Pruitt, Jr., and Lifford Pruitt.
She is survived by her daughter, Glenda Mitchell; son, Rick Contreras; brother, Otis Leon Pruitt; grandchildren, Chris Contreras, Tina Bolton, Lemar Darty, Sabin Contreras; five great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Ty Bolton, Donnie Pruitt, Ronnie McCaslin, Paul Pounders, Tony Landers and Eugene Martin.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Mid-South Wiregrass and Russellville Hospital ICU staff. Annie was a loving mother who was recently preceded in death by her husband, Walter D. Mitchell, who was a loving father. The family also wishes to thank Mid-South Wiregrass and respiratory care for taking care of Mr. Walter.

Abbie Lavee Adams, 93, Russellville passed away on Tuesday, March 09, 2010 at Russellville Hospital.
The visitation will be 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 11, 2010 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Spry Memorial Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Elmer Smith. Interment will be in Franklin Memory Gardens.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joabb &Vonie Delaney; husband, Bonnie Roy Adams; sisters, Berma Robinson (and husband, Earl), Irma Thorn (and husband, Homer); brothers, Loice Dulaney, Garvin Reese Dulaney; grandson Kenneth Randall Cummings.
She is survived by her daughter, Marjorie Cummings (husband, Kenneth); granddaughter, Terina Wood (husband, Donald); grandson, Gregory Cummings; sister-in-laws, Christine Dulaney, Flossie Dulaney; and several nieces &nephews.
The pallbearers will be Gregory Cummings, Donald Wood, Bobby Robinson, Jeremy James, and Joe King.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Kelley, Burns Nursing Home; and 2nd Floor ICU nurses at Russellville Hospital for the love and care shown towards our family.
