Eleonore Barton

Eleonore Barton, age 75, of Lynn, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2007, at Lakeland Community Hospital.
She was born in Germany on August 10, 1931, and was a member of the Lynn Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Barton; a son, Scott Barton; and her parents, Philip and Berta Kleine Schmidt.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 20, 2007, at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville. Interment was in Ashbank Cemetery.
Mrs. Barton is survived by three children, Steve Barton of Jasper, Richard Barton of Honolulu, HI, and Dale Barton of Lynn; three grandchildren, Shaundra Barton, J.R. Barton and Anna Marie Barton; and one great-grandchild.
Ronald Eugene Bonds

Ronald Eugene Bonds, age 54, of Russellville, passed away Friday, March 16, 2007.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at High Street Church of Christ in Tuscumbia. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery in Russellville.
William Larry Guthrie

William Larry Guthrie, age 66, of Haleyville and formerly of Walker County, passed away Monday, March 19, 2007.
Mr. Guthrie was born June 14, 1940 in Walker County. He served in the United States Army and retired from NTN Bower. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Ollie Dean Guthrie; and a brother, Sammy Guthrie.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 21, 2007, at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel in Haleyville. Interment was in Guthrie Cemetery in Townley.
Mr. Guthrie is survived by two sons, Greg Guthrie of Haleyville and Rodney Guthrie of Carrollton, GA; six brothers and sisters, Mack Guthrie and Sterling Guthrie of Jasper, Ed Guthrie of Carbon Hill, Bob Cook of Decatur, Linda Smith of Michigan, and Gay Lou Coolidge of Nauvoo; and two grandchildren, Milah Guthrie and Maddie Guthrie.
John O. Hicks

John O. Hicks, age 77, of Haleyville, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2007, at Lakeland Community Hospital.
Mr. Hicks was born in Winston County and served in the United States Army. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Haleyville. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Jess and Sarah Letha Williams Hicks; and five brothers and sisters.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 20, 2007, at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville. Interment was in Winston Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Hicks is survived by his wife, Gloria Jean Foster Hicks; three children, Teresa Carol Defoor, John Randall Hicks and Angela Sheree Willis, all of Haleyville; four sisters, Agnes Robinson and Ola Mae Harbin of Haleyville, Fern Little of Birmingham, and Lucy Delene Motte of Knoxville, TN; one brother, Jesse Hicks of Huntsville; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
