William &#8220Doc” Bohannon, age 93, of Marietta, Mississippi, passed away Friday, March 3, 2006, at Nancy's Vineyard in Booneville.
Mr. Bohannon was born August 25, 1912, to Benjamin and Josie Lou Duncan Bohannon in Franklin County. He was retired as a maintenance worker with American Motors in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and was the oldest member of East Marietta Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Pickett Bohannon on October 12, 2002; his parents; and two brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 5, 2006, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay with Bro. Dewayne Morgan officiating. Interment was in Ridge Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Mr. Bohannon's grandsons, Charles Bohannon, Wesley Bohannon, John Bohannon, Mark Stevens, Marshall Stevens and Nick Smith.
Mr. Bohannon is survived by two sons, Bennie Bohannon and wife Betty, of Marietta, and William Ed Bohannon and wife Lavern, of Belmont, Mississippi; two daughters, Marie Stevens and husband Danny, and Josie Smith and husband Junior, both of Marietta; ten grandchildren; three step-
grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and nine step-great-grandchildren.

Alvis Wayne Fleming, age 25, of Hodges, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2006, in Franklin County.
Mr. Fleming was born May 30, 1980, in Orlando, Florida. He was an employee of Tiffin Motor Homes and was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Hodges. He was attending First Baptist Church in Red Bay.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7, 2006, at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. James Nichols and Bro. Clint Holcomb officiating. Interment was in Old Line Cemetery in Hodges.
Pallbearers were Jason Pope, Valley Vickery, Joseph Boyett, Jon Baker, Rodney Hester, Jeremy Marquiss, Justin Trulove, Brian Riley and Martin Emerson.
Mr. Fleming is survived by his mother, Debra L. Fleming, and his father, Zyndell M. Fleming, both of Hodges; two sisters, Amanda Emerson and husband Martin, of Hamilton, and Angel Riley and husband Brian, of Fort Polk, Louisiana; one nephew, Tristan Riley of Fort Polk, Louisiana; his grandfather, H.B. Fleming of Hodges; and several aunts, uncles, family members and friends.

Percie S. Marbutt, age 90, of Golden, Mississippi, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2006, at her residence.
Mrs. Marbutt was born January 17, 1916, in Carrollton, Georgia, to James Lee and Dora Stamps Strickland. She was a member of Golden Central Baptist Church and a housewife. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Marbutt; her parents; two brothers, Horace Strickland and James Strickland; and one sister, Myrtle Floyd.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 2, 2006, at Golden Central Baptist Church with Bro. W.L. Oaks and Bro. Mickey Trammel officiating. Interment was in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Charlie Henson, Larry Hammock, Dolan Taylor, Floyd Paden, Roy Thompson and Wilford Marbutt.
Mrs. Marbutt is survived by a son, James A. Marbutt and wife B.J., of Muscle Shoals; two brothers, Odis Strickland of Red Bay and Lonnie Strickland of Phil Campbell; and two sisters, Sue Dodd of Haleyville and Janice Sutton of Phil Campbell.

Russell &#8220Hollywood” Mashburn, age 65, of Muscle Shoals, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2006.
Mr. Mashburn was a native of Muscle Shoals. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 33 years and was an active member of local UAW. He was preceded in death by a son, Shane Whitworth; his parents, Grady O. Mashburn and Lorene Jackson; and two brothers, Travis Mashburn and Athel &#8220Shorty” Mashburn.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7, 2006, at Spry Memorial Chapel in Russellville with Bro. Jerome Sherrill officiating. Interment was in Liberty Hill Cemetery in Phil Campbell.
Pallbearers were Tim Mashburn, Terry Mashburn, Mike Mashburn, Paul Mashburn, Benny Wilson and Jimmy Bradford. Honorary bearers were Zach Broadfoot, Logan Whitworth and Mark Mashburn.
Mr. Mashburn is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Norma Taylor Mashburn; two sons, Darrin Mashburn and Shawn Whitworth and wife Michelle; three daughters, Belinda Ramos, Lisa Mitchell, and Holly Gibson and husband Shane; two brothers, Jimmy Mashburn and wife Martha and Jackie Mashburn and wife Gertha; a sister, Judy Morrow and husband Larry; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of loving aunts, uncle, nieces and nephews.
The family extends a special thanks to the nursing staff on third floor at Shoals Hospital for making our last stay as bearable and comfortable as possible. Also, thank you to all the physicians and nursing staff at Northwest Alabama Cancer Center.

Almer L. Miller, age 94, of Russellville, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2006.
Mrs. Miller was the oldest member of Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church in Russellville. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother and was loved by all. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Delilah Pearce; her husband, D.C. Miller; a daughter, Fayrene Miller; and a grandson, Rickey Miller.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Monday, March 6, 2006, at Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Motes and Bro. John Stancil officiating. Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Randy Hallman, Barry Cook, Mike Morgan, Spanky Hallman, Kyle Copeland, Rick Miller and Marvin Copeland.
Mrs. Miller is survived by two sons, Orbie Miller and wife Janice, of Russellville, and Lindon Miller and wife Bonnie, of Russellville; a brother, Johnny Pearce and wife Inez, of Russellville; three great-grandchildren, Renay Hallman and husband Randy, of Russellville, Tina Copeland and husband Marvin, of Phil Campbell, and Tracey Cook and husband Barry, of Russellville; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Dr. E. Wayne Reynolds of Tuscumbia passed away Friday, March 3, 2006, after an extended illness.
Dr. Reynolds was born in Toledo, Ohio, but he moved with his parents to Elkhart, Indiana, two years later. After graduating from Elkhart High School, he worked five years before enlisting in the United States Air Force. In a little more than five years, he was honorably discharged with the rank of Chief Warrant Officer. Dr. Reynolds has practiced as Doctor of Optometry in Russellville since April 20, 1950. He took his pre-studies at Howard College in Birmingahm and graduated as salutatorian of his class in December, 1949, from the Southern College of Optometry, Memphis. He was a member of the American Optometric Association and the Alabama Optometric Association, both of whom recently honored him for his continuing years of service. He was a member of Beta-Sigma Kappa International Honorary Fraternity. Dr. Reynolds was a member of the T.R. Pritchard Sunday School class. He was an episcopalian by faith, a member of the Saint John's Episcopal Church, Elkhart, Indiana, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Russellville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Audra Roadwell; a son, Michael Reynolds; a grandson, Brent Kennamore; and a sister, Sara Plummer.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 6, 2006, at Akins Funeral Home Chapel in Russellville with Bro. Wayne Kilpatrick and Bro. Toney Chaney officiating.
Pallbearers were members of the T.R. Pritchard Sunday School class.
Dr. Reynolds is survived by his wife of 22 years, Truby Hatton Reynolds; two daughters, Charlotte Kennamore and husband B.J., of Tuscumbia, and Melanie Lemay of Montgomery; a son, Stephen Hatton of Tuscumbia; two grandsons, Matthew and Mark Lemay, both of Birmingham; a granddaughter, Kayla Pennington of Moulton; two great-grandchildren, Hayden and Brooke Frost, both of Moulton; and one beloved pet, &#8220Chazz” Reynolds.

Mary Willie Wooten, age 74, of Vina, passed away Friday, March 3, 2006, at Russellville Healthcare.
Mrs. Wooten was the oldest child born to George Henry and Thelma Upton Bullock. She was a housewife and was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Wooten; her parents; one brother; and two grandchildren, Glenn Scott and Abby Stallsmith.
Graveside funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 5, 2006, at Macedonia Cemetery with Bro. Carl Lofton officiating.
Mrs. Wooten is survived by two daughters, Julia Crane and husband Edwin and Martha Malone and husband Elzie, both of Red Bay; three sons, Sam Wooten and James Lloyd Wooten and wife Nelda, both of Vina, and Ellis Junior Wooten and wife Michelle, of Red Bay; three sisters and three brothers; seven grandchildren, Jamie Humphres, Gina Jones, Elizabeth Wooten, Troy Crane, Jason Burks, Dewayne Wooten and Chance Wooten; and four great-grandchildren, Danika Jones, Kayleigh Scott, Jason Burks II and Alaina Burks.

Bettie Griffus Wright, age 95, of Red Bay, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2006, at her residence.
Mrs. Wright was born May 17, 1910, in Franklin County to Calhoun &#8220C.H.” and Annie Clingan Griffus. She was a housewife and was preceded in death by her husband, A.V. Wright; her parents; two sons, Thomas Wright and Earl Wright; and a daughter, Nella Jean Wright Johnson.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2006, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. John Oliver officiating. Interment was in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Chad Wright, Davy Ginn, Bobby Stanford, Ed Brown, Jim Conwill and Hollis Holland.
Mrs. Wright is survived by a daughter, Johnnie Wright Wood of Red Bay; a son, Quince Wright and wife Glenda, of Red Bay; two sisters, Willie Conwill of Golden, Mississippi, and E.C. Humphres of Hamilton; four grandchildren, Debra Stanford and husband Bobby, of Russellville, Jeff Johnson and wife Dianne, of Diamond Head, Mississippi, Sarah Ginn and husband Davy, of Golden, Mississippi, and Chad Wright of Huntsville; five great-grandchildren, Anna Stanford, Joe Stanford, Brandon Johnson, Brittany Johnson and Colby Ginn; and a host of nieces and nephews.
