Rosemarie Laura Carden

Rosemarie Laura Carden, age 70, of Phil Campbell, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2005, at her residence.
Mrs. Carden moved to Phil Campbell from Chicago in 1967 and was a member of Mt. View Baptist Church.
She was a volunteer of the A.R.C. She was preceded in death by a son, Mark Carden; three brothers, Raymond Colwell, Ralph Colwell and Ronald Colwell; and a sister, Nancy Michaels.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 15, 2005, at Mt. View Baptist Church in Phil Campbell with Rev. Sammy Taylor and Rev. Billy Thorne officiating. Interment will be in Mt. View Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mrs. Carden's grandsons.
Mrs. Carden is survived by her husband, Bobby Carden; three sons, Roger Carden and wife Brenda, of Haleyville, Jon Carden of Montgomery, and Patrick Carden of Birmingham; four daughters, Vickie King and husband Dave, of Haleyville, Laura Chamblee and husband Mike, of Hodges, Sharon Sparks and husband Jim, of Phil Campbell, and Martha Welborn and husband Terry, of Phil Campbell; a daughter-in-law, Cindy Carden of Phil Campbell; a brother, Donald Colwell of Red Granite, Wisconsin; a sister, Elaine Ostling of Ocala, Florida; seventeen grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Pinkard Funeral Home assisted the family.
