    Services for Mary Ellen Mosley will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at St. John Marion Baptist Church with the Rev. Melvin Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh CME Church Cemetery in Cromwell, Ala. Berry &Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Mosley, 77, of Meridian, died Tuesday, March 16, 2004, in her home. She was born on December 18, 1926, in Yantley, Ala. and lived for many years in Marion, Russell and Meridian. She was united in holy matrimony to the late John Evan Mosley, and to this union 12 children were born. She will be remembered for her kindness and gentleness in giving to her large family and many friends.
    Survivors include her daughters, Mary Betts and her husband, McGrady, of Toomsuba, Ann Betts and her husband, Henry, of Los Angeles, Dorothy Houston and her husband, Hubert, of Meridian, and Baby Ruth Mosley of Lorton, Vir.; sons, Jessie Mosley and his wife, Vivia, of Colonial Heights, Vir., Bobby Mosley and his wife, Cecelia, Edward Mosley and his wife, Adrian, and Jerry Mosley, all of Meridian, and Donald Mosley and his wife, Sharon, of San Antonio; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three brothers, L.J. Poke of Pittsburg, Willie Johnson of Poitiers, France and Harvey Rowe of Yantley, Ala.
    She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Ida Mae Mosley; and two sons, Royce Mosley and James Nathan Mosley.
    Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Gregory Betts, Craig Houston, Jonathan Mosley, Hubert Houston, Justin Mosley and Dwayne Mosley.
    Visitation will be Sunday from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
    UNION Services for Bessie M. Ezelle will be held today at 2 p.m. at Milling Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Mike Ahlberg and Charles Skinner officiating. Burial will be in Greenland Community Cemetery.
    Mrs. Ezelle, 96, of Union, died Thursday, March 18, 2004, at Hilltop Manor Nursing Home. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Union.
    Survivors include her sons, Henry L. Ezelle Jr. and his wife, Mary Ann, of San Antonio, and Harold Ezelle and his wife, Thedra, of Little Rock; four grandchildren, Jeanie McKay and her husband, Mike, Cindy Page and her husband, Donny, Brian Ezelle and Brent Ezelle and his wife, Tracy; three great-grandchildren, Jody Dorman, Kim George, and Garrett Ezelle; two great-great-grandchildren, Drew Dorman and Payton Dorman and several nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Loyd Ezelle.
    Memorials will be made to First Presbyterian Church of Union.
    Pallbearers will be Osmond Matlock, Bill Matlock, Johnny Matlock, Marvin Goss, Curtis Gordon and Gerald Matlock.
    Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Freeman, Wayne Carleton, Dr. J.G. Alexander, L.D. Sharp, Ed Ogletree and Harold Carleton.
    Visitation will be today from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
    Retired oil field driller
    PHILADELPHIA Services for John Hays will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at New Bethel Baptist Church with the Revs. James Griffith and Curt Pace officiating. Burial will be in New Bethel Cemetery in Neshoba County. McClain-Hays Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Hays, 81, of Carthage, died Friday, March 19, 2004, in his home. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in World War II.
    Survivors include his daughter, Teresa Lynn Veasey of Atlanta; a son, Thomas G. Hays of Carthage; five granchildren; and a brother, Malcolm Hays of Philadelphia.
    Visitation will be held today from 3 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
    BAKERSFIELD, Calif. Services for John Tommye Duett were held Tuesday at Mish Funeral Home in Bakersfield with the Rev. Duane Meadors officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn Southwest Cemetery. Memorial services will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Christian Fellowship Church in Meridian with the Rev. Sephus Garret officiating.
    Mr. Duett, 64, of Bakersfield, died Tuesday, March 16, 2004, in Bakersfield. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
    Survivors include his wife, Gloria Duett of Bakersfield; sons, Ronald Allen Duett of Bakersfield and John Tommye Duett and his wife, Patti, of Vicksburg, Miss.; his mother, Irene Duett of Meridian, Miss.; step-sons, Rusty Adams of Meridian, Douglas Wilbanks and his wife, Hong, Mark Wilbanks and his wife, Lorenia, all of Bakersfield; a step-daughter, Tasha Wilbanks of Los Angeles; a brother, Benny Duett and his wife, Vanessa, of Meridian; sisters, Margaret Gressett and Nancy Duett, both of Donaldsonville, Ga.; and four grandchildren.
    Memorials may be made to Mississippi Special Olympics.
    Retired office manager
    MACON Services for Mable Davis "Punk" Aday will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Shuqualak Baptist Church with the Rev. Jon Kittrell officiating. Burial will be in Shuqualak Cemetery. Cockrell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Aday, 76, of Shuqualak, died Thursday, March 18, 2004, in her home.
    Survivors include her husband, Pat Aday of Shuqualak; sisters, Nell Davis Buhrow of Houston, Texas, Betty Davis Ledbetter and Kitty Davis, both of Columbus, and Polly Davis Patterson of Shuqualak and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
    Memorials may be made to the Humane Society or Palmer Home for Children.
    Visitation will Sunday one hour prior to the service at the church.
    Retired licensed practical nurse
    NEWTON Graveside services for Dorothy Laverne Bean were held Friday 2 p.m. at Decedar Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Leon Stewart officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Bean, 77, of Newton, died Thursday, March 18, 2004, at Rush Specialty Hospital of Meridian. She was a member of Decedar Baptist Church and Jasper Homemakers Club. She was a retired licensed practical nurse at Permian General Hospital in Jasper County.
    Survivors include her son, Jim Williams of Newton; a brother, Lavell Harris of Newton and a granddaughter, Stacye Williams Brooks of San Angelo, Texas.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Bean; her parents, James M. and Millie Thrash Harris and a son, Ray Williams.
    Arrangements were incomplete at Clark's Memorial Funeral Home for William Parker, 72, of Meridian, who died Friday, March 19, 2004, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
