A sign of spring

Believe it or nor, spring is just around the corner. That means more fishing to a lot of Mississippians, according to the Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks.
To help anglers find out where the fish are biting, the agency will publish a weekly fishing report that covers many bodies of water across the Magnolia State.
The report begins the first week of February and will continue through the end of November. It will contain information from bait shops and anglers about which species are biting, where and what lures are attracting them. The report will be available on the agency Web site: www.mdwfp.com.
Fishermen we know are always on the lookout for tips and techniques on how to reel in the big ones and we have no doubt that some of our local anglers will be regular readers of and contributors to this new service.
