Lauderdale County's voter rolls have been purged and updated, but keeping up with address changes requires constant monitoring, according to the chairman of the county election commission.
Ann Watts, a member of the Lauderdale County Election Commission for 19 years and its chairman for the past seven, says it's important for voters to notify the circuit clerk when they move especially since many county precincts were split in the recent redistricting.
She said that a person who moves, but does not change supervisor districts or voting precincts, may still be in a different legislative, senatorial or constable district.
