    Graveside services for Lin Swanner were to be held today at 10 a.m. at Rawson Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Boles officiating. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Swanner, 77, of Meridian, died Sunday, Sept. 21, 2003, at the V.A. Hospital in Jackson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in World War II.
    Survivors include his wife, Nell Swanner; a son, Rickey Swanner and his wife, Melissa, all of Meridian; several other children, two grandchildren and several siblings.
    Homemaker
    BUTLER, Ala. Services for Lucille Mozingo Maten will be held today at 11 a.m. at Wimberly Methodist Protestant Church with the Revs. Shane Wyatt and James Gates officiating. Burial was to be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Bumpers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Maten, 88, of Toxey, Ala., died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2003, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
    Survivors include her daughters, Eloise Lucas and Lois Gibson and her husband, Pete, all of Toxey; sons, James Mozingo and his wife, Angie Williams, of Millry, Ala., Robert Mozingo and his wife, Belinda, of Sylacauga, Ala.; eight step-children, eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her husbands, Lewis Mozingo and Jullian Maten; two grandchildren, Horace Lucas and Travis Mille;r and a son-in-law, Winston Lucas.

    Services for Lola M. Allen will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jason Gross officiating. Burial will be in the Macedonia Cemetery.
    Mrs. Allen, 88, of Collinsville, died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2003, at Riley Hospital.
    Survivors include her son, Wayne Allen and his wife, Peggy; a daughter, Joyce Faircloth and her husband, Butch, all of Collinsville; two grandsons, two granddaughters, four great-grandsons and two great-granddaughters.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, George H. Allen.
    Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

    BUTLER, Ala. Services for Robert Ackley Manley will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Bumpers Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. James Irby and Scott Whetstone officiating. Burial will be in Rock Springs Cemetery.
    Mr. Manley, 80, of Butler, died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2003, at Willow Trace Nursing Center.
    Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Scott Manley of Butler; a daughter, Robin Manley Allday and her husband, Jimmy, of Butler; a brother, Columbus Manley; sisters, Christine Turner, Lenora Kelly and Vernell Irby, all of Needham, Ala.
    Visitation will be today 6:30 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
    Retired from Lucent Technologies
    CUMMING, Ga. Services for Douglas Keith McCrea will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at All Saints Catholic Church in Dunwoody. McDonald and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. McCrea, 58, died Friday, Sept. 19, 2003.
    Survivors include his son, Andrew McCrea of Merritt Island, Fla.; two daughters, Deborah Ivey of Meridian, Miss., and Kelli Ray of Maryville, Tenn.; a sister, Doris Pauratore of New Orleans; a brother, Donald McCrea of Temple, Texas; and four grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by a daughter, Dedra McCrea.
    Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Home in Atlanta.
    Visitation will be today beginning at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
    SEBASTOPOL Services for Mary Billie will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Zion Indian Baptist Church in Carthage with the Rev. Eugene Tubby officiating. Burial will be in Old Mt. Zion Cemetery. Milling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Ms. Billie, 70, of Carthage, died Sunday, Sept. 21, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
    Survivors include her brother, Beman Billy and a sister, Eunice Billy, both of Carthage; and several nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, Williston Billie and Jessie Hattensie.

    DEKALB Services for Virginia Marlene Young will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Salem Baptist Church with the Revs. Jerry Jones and Bryant Benton officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Scooba. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Young, 42, of DeKalb, died Sunday, Sept. 21, 2003, in DeKalb.
    Survivors include her mother, Bernice Sciple of DeKalb; daughters, Kelly D. Thornton and Kendall Leigh Young, both of Meridian; a grandson, Caleb James Thornton of Meridian; brothers, Ray Conner and James Irvin Conner, both of DeKalb, Warren Dale Conner and Timothy Mark Conner, both of Caledonia; step-brothers, Denny L. Strickland and Donald W. Strickland, both of Columbus; step-sisters, Wanda N. Shelton and Sharron Beasley, both of Columbus; her step-mother, Lou Ellen Conner of Columbus; a sister-in-law, Helen Conner of DeKalb; a son, James Darrell Young; her step-father, Everette Sciple; her former husband, James Young of Scooba; and a friend, Roy Barrett of DeKalb.
    Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Sta-Home Hospice.
    Pallbearers will be Angus Joseph, John Auld, James Conner, Travis Whitt, John Beasley and Johnny Ray Smith.
    Honorary pallbearers will be John Roberts, David Conner, Dr. Whitecar and employees of GTRMC Third West, and employees of Sta-Home Hospice.
    Visitation will be today 6 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

    BUTLER, Ala. Services for Edwin Arnold "Joe" Persons Sr. will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at First United Methodist Church of Butler with the Revs. Gary Williams and Prentis Gordon officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
    Mr. Persons, 69, of Columbus, died Sunday, Sept. 21, 2003, in Columbus. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force.
    Survivors include his son, Edwin A. Persons Jr. of Columbus; sisters, Josephine Long of Lafayette, La., and Elizabeth Frye of Virginia; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
    Visitation will be Tuesday 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
    Arrangements were incomplete at Barham Funeral Home for W.C. Blackwell, 79, of Meridian, who died Sunday, Sept. 21, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
