Mr. and Mrs. Elder S. Bailey announce the engagement of their daughter, Kimberly Bailey Whitaker, to Patrick E. Floyd, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. "Scooter" Floyd.
The wedding will be Friday, June 20, 2003, at 6:40 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Quitman.
Ms. Whitaker is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Cooper of Quitman, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Dencily Bailey of Monroe, La.
The bride-elect is currently employed with Citizens National Bank of Meridian as a loan assistant.
Mr. Floyd is the grandson of Pauline Hazzard and the late W.E. Hazzard, and the late Earl A. Floyd and the late Inez LeJeune.
Mr. Floyd is employed with Rowan Companies Inc. in Houston, Texas.
A reception will be held in the church fellowship hall following the ceremony. Family and friends are invited to attend.
