FRANCIS J. PHELAN

Graveside services for Francis J. "Frank" Phelan Jr. were held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Lockhart Cemetery with John Fielder and the Rev. Davey Wilkinson officiating. Stephens Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Phelan, 57, of Dalewood, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was born in Chicago on Oct. 28, 1945. He retired after serving 30 years in the U.S. Navy and was a manager at Boeing Aircraft.
Mr. Phelan was a Master Mason, life member of the VFW, Fleet Reserve and American Legion. He was a Scottish Rite Mason and a Shriner.
Survivors include his wife of more than 38 years, Margaret "Maggie" Phelan of Dalewood; three daughters, Deborah R. Carter and her husband, Ralph, of Ocala, Fla., Cynthia D. Carter and her husband, Paul, of Key West, Fla., and Alicia "Nikki" Miltimore of Dalewood; four grandchildren, Christopher Carter, Candace Carter, Alex Roberts and Luke Miltimore; a sister, Marjorie Troop of Crestwood, Ill.; two brothers, Thomas Phelan of Kankakee, Ill., and Anthony Zanazara of Chicago; and many close friends.
He will be missed and was greatly loved by all his family and friends.
Pallbearers were Ralph Carter, Paul Carter, Thomas Phelan, Pat Peairs, Joe Beasley and Robert Ohnemus.
KEVIN J. DARDEN

DEKALB Services for Kevin J. Darden will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church at Porterville with the Rev. Carey McDonald officiating. Burial will in the church cemetery with E.E. McDonald Funeral Home of DeKalb in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Darden, 31, of Pensacola, Fla., died Nov. 14, 2002, at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola. He was a construction worker.
Survivors include two children, Tremetrics Darden and NayTashianna Hatch, both of Porterville; parents Lonnie B. and Gracie L. Darden of Lauderdale; two sisters, Kathleen Boyd and her husband, Roderick, and Debbie Adams and her husband, Prentiss, both of Lauderdale; four brothers, Lonnie Darden Jr. and his wife, Roslina, of Jacksonville, Fla., Johnny Ray Darden and his wife, Vivian, of Porterville, and Darren Darden and Santonio Darden and his wife, Tina, both of Lauderdale; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Visitation is today from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
MABLE POPE MCNEILL

Graveside services for Mable Pope McNeill will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Magnolia Cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. McNeill, 92, of Meridian, died Nov. 20, 2002, in Meridian. She was a homemaker and a member of Jones Memorial Presbyterian Church in Meridian.
Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Mollie Doris McNeill of New Orleans; a grandson, Gerald Thomas McNeill of New Orleans; two great-grandchildren, Patrick Thomas McNeill and Molly Marie McNeill, both of New Orleans; a sister-in-law, Lela Pope; two nephews, Bill and Donald Pope; a niece, Glenda Pope Kirkland; and two cousins, Joyce Fleming and Helen Brown.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Thomas McNeill, and a stepson, Paul Thomas McNeill.
