    Retired registered nurse
    Services for Audria M. Blackwell will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Jones Chapel Church of God with the Revs. George Blackwell Jr. and Author Davey officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Miss Blackwell, 74, formerly of Meridian, died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2002, in Huntsville, Ala. She was a retired registered nurse who worked in the hospitals in the Meridian area and also worked at the Choctaw Indian Hospital in Philadelphia.
    Survivors include her two brothers, Jerry W. Blackwell of Huntsville and Wallace L. Blackwell of Amarilla, Texas; four sisters-in-law, Wilma Blackwell of Emporia, Kan., Kay Blackwell of Huntsville, Isabel Blackwell and Barbara Blackwell, both of Amarilla, Texas; several nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.
    Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home and Tuesday 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.
    MARY V. WARD
    Services for Mary V. Ward will be held Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Rickles officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
    Mrs. Ward, 53, of Meridian, died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002, in her home. She was a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. Mrs. Ward worked at Rob Roy in York, Ala., Armalite Aluminum in Meridian and Peavey Electronics.
    Survivors include her husband, James M. Ward, a daughter, Glenda Ward Lee and her husband, Douglas, and a granddaughter, Jessica Lee, all of Meridian; two sisters, Margaret E. Parker and her husband, Willie, of Meridian and Eve Embrey and her husband, James, of Chunky; brothers, Joe Lee Shelby and his wife, Jean, of Toomsuba, Roger Shelby and his wife, Pam, of Meridian, Ricky Shelby and his wife, Cindy, and David Shelby and his wife, Chris, all of Toomsuba; and several nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, Shade and Margaret Shelby; a brother, John Wayne Shelby and his wife, Brenda; and a sister, Dot Ward and her husband, Clarence.
    Pallbearers will be Joe Shelton, Sonny Parker, Bobby Ray Townsend, Davey Holloman, Jeremy Bunyard and Dennis Parker.
    Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
    LUCILLE HUDSON JORDAN
    Services for Lucille Hudson Jordan will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Richard Robins officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
    Mrs. Jordan, 81, of Meridian, died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
    Survivors include a son, Earl P. "Pat" Jordan Jr. of Meridian; two grandchildren, Amber Page Jordan of Lake Eddins and Jamey Patrick Jordan of Meridian; and many special friends.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl "Bill" Patrick Jordan Sr.; and a brother, Carl Hudson of Hickory.
    The family requests memorials be made to Poplar Springs Drive United Methodist Church or a favorite charity.
    Pallbearers will be Beetle Huffmaster, Bob Widen, Bobby Galloway, Bobby Wilder, Robert D. Jones and Daniel P. Self.
    Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Eddins, Wiley Strahan, Claude Cooper, Billy Williamson and Gene McCartney.
    Visitation will be today 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

    Graveside services for Bill L. Poole Sr. will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Rush Cemetery with the Rev. Malcolm Lewis officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Poole, 67, of Meridian, died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2002, at Rush Foundation Hospital. He was a member of Northcrest Baptist Church and St. John's Masonic Lodge # 618 F&AM. He was an avid CB'er (Slim) and retired from Dement Printing Co.
    Survivors include his wife, Linda Poole of Meridian; two sons, Lester Poole Jr. and his wife, Tina, of DeKalb and Jeff Poole and his wife, Swan, of Collinsville; four daughters, Theresa Ivy and her husband, John, of DeKalb, Michelle Hall and her husband, Chris, of Meridian, Stefanee Scarbrough and her husband, David, of Collinsville and Beverlee Touchstone of Venus, Texas; three sisters, Katie Ruth White of Demopolis, Ala., Mildred Robinson and Jean Slayton of Meridian; two brothers, Harold Poole of Collinsville and James Poole of Meridian; two granddaughters, Shannon Wright and Katie Poole; four grandsons, J.K. Ivy, Cole Poole, Bailey Hall and Braxton Scarbrough.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Ben and Maggie Waddell Poole; three brothers, Burnard Poole, Elmer Poole and Ellis Poole.
    Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

    BUTLER, Ala. Services for Rita "Mama" Davis will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Trinity Methodist Church in Pennington with the Revs. Freemont Kellem and Frankie Boyette officiating. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery with Bumpers Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Davis, 69, of Pennington, died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She worked as a nurse with Choctaw General Hospital.
    Survivors include her husband, Coleman Davis of Pennington; daughters, Rhonda Goodman of Pennington and Rachel Lindsey of Grove Hill; a brother, Bobby Thrash of Butler; a sister, Dot Hardin of Meridian; and four grandchildren.
    Visitation will be Tuesday one hour prior to the service at the church.
    ALTON LAMAR EVANS
    QUITMAN Services for Alton Lamar Evans will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in West Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
    Mr. Evans, 57, died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002, at Wayne County General Hospital.
    Survivors include his wife, Betty L. Evans of Waynesboro; three sons, Alton L. Evans of Quitman, Jason D. Evans and Charles R. Evans, both of Waynesboro; three daughters, Elizabeth Busby of Taylorsville, Judy Duell of Glenn Heights, Texas, and Crystal Evans of Waynesboro; four brothers, Grady Evans of Montana, James Evans of Quitman, Wayne Evans of Pachuta and Mike Evans of Meridian; a sister, Kizzy Hardee of Kerrville, Texas; and five grandchildren.
    Visitation will be today beginning at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

    Mr. Thompson, 73, of Meridian, died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
    Visitation will be Wednesday 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
