TOMMY AMERSON
Roadway employee
Services for Tommy Amerson will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Meridian with the Rev. Willie Burton officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Garden Cemetery. Latimer Metropolitan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Amerson, 53, of Meridian, died Wednesday, July 31, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was an employee of Roadway for more than 25 years.
Survivors include his wife, Angela L. "Gay Gay" Amerson of Meridian; sons, Antonio D. Amerson of Pacific, Mo., Michael Amerson, Lee Tommy Amerson and Tommy Amerson Jr., all of Meridian; brothers, Willie Joe Amerson and his wife, Glenda, of Oklahoma City, Larry R. Amerson and his wife, Mary, of Causeyville, Mo., Rufus Amerson and his wife, Janice, Ralph Amerson and his wife, Daisy, Leon Amerson all of Steel, Mo.,and Bodie Amerson of Rock Island, Ill.; sisters, Dorothy Lovelady, Annie C. Harris and her husband, Larry, all of Rock Island, Ill., Diane Covington and her husband, Edward, and Sylvia Waddlington and her husband, Henry, all of Steel, Mo.; five grandchildren and 18 god-children; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Sunday 5 p.m.- 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
PERCY NANCE

PHILADELPHIA Services for Percy Nance will be held today at 11 a.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. DeWayne Warren officiating. Burial will be in North Bend Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Nance, 86, of Philadelphia, died, Wednesday, July 31, 2002, at Care Center of Louisville. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Dollie Nance of Philadelphia; his son, Marwood "Woody" Nance of Clinton; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; sisters, Pearl White of Carthage, Janie Calloway of Columbus, Evie Lou Barnett of Biloxi, Marie Nichols of Vicksburg and Ann Metz of Louisville; brothers, Henry C. Nance, of Meridian, Everett Nance of Knoxville,Tenn., and Jack Jackson of Meridian.
KATHLEEN JACKSON BATEMAN

MACON Services for Kathleen Jackson Bateman will be held today at 11 a.m. at Cockrell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Byron Pickering officiating. Burial will be in Oddfellows Cemetery.
Ms. Bateman, 83, of Leeds, Ala., died Wednesday, July 31, 2002, at St. Claire Regional Hospital in Pell City, Ala.
Survivors include her son, Edward Abrams and his wife, Jacqueline, of Leeds, Ala.; two grandchildren; and a brother, Otey Jackson of Macon.
She was preceded in death by sisters Robbie Forbus and Judy Wilson and a brother, Vincent Jackson.
Visitation will be today 10 a.m.- 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
WILLIE MAE HAMILTON

PHILADELPHIA Services for Willie Mae Hamilton will be held today at 1 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Dan Howard officiating. Burial will be in Cedarlawn Cemetery in Philadelphia.
Mrs. Hamilton, 85, of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, July 31, 2002, at Neshoba County General Hospital.
Survivors include her husband, C.R. Hamilton of Philadelphia; daughters, Sue Eason and Debbie Hamilton of Jackson; a son, Harold Gene Hamilton of Chicago; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be today 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
IMOGENE ABSTON

QUITMAN Services for Imogene Abston will be held today at 1 p.m. at Providence Methodist Church with the Rev. Lester Griffin officiating. Burial will be in Providence Cemetery in Clarke County. Wright's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Abston, 68, of Quitman, died Thursday, Aug. 1, 2002, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital in Quitman.
Survivors include her daughter, Carol Smith, and her husband, Carl, both of Quitman; a sister, Katie Livingston of Quitman; and grandchildren Jaymie Smith and Kaytelyn Smith, both of Quitman.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
ARTIE MAE LANGDON
UNION Services for Artie Mae Langdon will be held today at 2 p.m. at Milling Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lin Chesney officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Langdon, of Hickory, died Wednesday, July 31, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include her husband, Roy J. Langdon of Hickory; two daughters, Brenda O'Neil James of Hickory and Barbara Faye Sanderson of Lawrence; a son, Roy Ray Langdon of Lawrence; a sister, Opal Adkins of Meridian; and five grandchildren.
GUSSIE ELAINE PIGFORD COKER
Services for Gussie Elaine Pigford Coker will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel.
Mrs. Coker, 86, of Toomsuba, died Thursday, Aug. 1, 2002, at Kings Daughters &Sons Rest Home.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
STEPHEN WENDIL CARNEY
GILBERTOWN, Ala. Services for Stephen Wendil Carney will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Advent Cemetery.
Mr. Carney, 42, of New Orleans, died Wednesday, July 24, 2002, at his home.
Survivors include his father, Wendil Earl Carney of Turnerville, Ala.; a brother, Shannon Carney, and his wife, Brandy, of Kushla, Ala.; and a sister, Winifred C. Harvison, and her husband, Rayford, of Millry, Ala.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Taylor Carney.
Visitation will be today 6 p.m.- 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
