Andy Armstrong may be thousands of miles away from home, but he says one thing is the same all over the unpredictability of the weather.
Andy and his grandson, Eric, were hoping weather forecasts predicting cooler temperatures were correct.
Andy and Eric are in the middle of a bike trip across Europe. They traveled from Grein, Austria, to Krems on Thursday. Andy said temperatures were in the lower 90s. But, he said, what makes it seem hotter is the lack of air conditioning in most of the buildings.
During their journey Thursday, the Armstrongs took in the sights of gigantic cathedrals, parks, villages and vineyards.
Andy said another treat in Krems was laundry service. He said a hotel owner's wife washed their clothes for free.
Today, Andy and Eric will be traveling to Vienna.
