    Hank Williams Smith Sr.
    Musician
    Services for Hank Williams Smith Sr. will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Stephens Funeral Home with the Revs. Mike Boles and Jerry Griffin officiating. Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery.
    Mr. Smith, 48, of Meridian, died Friday, April 5, 2002, in Meridian.
    Survivors include his sons, Hank Williams Smith Jr. and Jimmy Smith Jr., both of Rose Hill; and Shannon and Shane Smith, both of Toomsuba; a daughter, Julia Faye Smith of Toomsuba; grandchildren, Katelyn Smith, Trey Smith, Bethany Smith and Dusten Spears; and other family members, Wanda Gaye Smith, Lisa Smith, Julie Smith Wheeler, Glenda Smith Walters, James Mack Walters, Constance Walters, Steven Smith, Lisa Smith, Stephanie Smith, Brenda Harper Smith, Carrie Snider, Dawson Snider, Justin Smith, Jared Smith and Peggy Cole.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, James Howard Smith and Naomi Faye Smith, a brother, James Frank Smith, a granddaughter, Ciarra Smith and his niece Connie Jean Harper.
    Pallbearers will be Clement White, Larry Bond, Mack Walters, Buddy Fairchild, Jeff Myrick and Marion Bentley.
    Visitation will be today from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
    Leonard Pinkeney Lewis
    Retired from Burlington
    QUITMAN Services for Leonard Pinkeney Lewis will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Methodist Church with the Revs. Norman Robinson, Mike Weldon and Ray Daniel officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery with Wright's Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Lewis, 67, of Rose Hill, died Thursday, April 4, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
    Survivors include his wife, Mary Frances Lewis, two sons, Carl Lewis and Rusty Dickinson, daughter, Elwanda Lewis and her husband, Wade, grandsons, Clay, Ethan and Dillon Lewis, brothers Preston Laverne Lewis and his wife, Mazie, and James H. Lewis and his wife, Shirley, all of Rose Hill; sisters Emma Hamrick of Stonewall; Martha Jane Welborn and her husband, Johnny, of Quitman; Christine Owens and her husband, Ray, of Enterprise; and Wanda Sue Morris and her husband, J. B., of Laurel; an aunt, Sara Lee Touchstone of Little Rock, Ark.; a brother-in-law, Howard English of Laurel; and three sisters-in-law, Dian Lewis of Stonewall; Ruby Weldon of Houston, Texas; and Sue Asprion of Rose Hill.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lela Lewis, brothers Carl and Tommy Lewis, and sisters, Ruthie Lewis and Dorothy Ray English.
    Pallbearers will be Jeffery Morris, Frankie Ulmer, Timmy Lewis, Joe Owens, Harold Reynolds and Danny Moulds.
    Visitation will be today from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service Monday at the church.
    Charlie Killen
    Retired machinist
    PHILADELPHIA Services for Charlie Killen will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home Chapel in Philadelphia with the Revs. John Stephens and Dwight Faulkenbery officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Neshoba County.
    Mr. Killen, 63, of Philadelphia, died Saturday, April 6, 2002, at his home. He was a native of the House community of Neshoba County and a retired machinist. He worked for several years at U.S. Motors of Philadelphia and Milwaukee Tool in Jackson.
    Mr. Killen worked for the past five years as a security guard with Goss Security in Jackson and was a member of the East Philadelphia Baptist Church and the United States Trotting Association.
    Survivors include two daughters, Robin Hooper of Philadelphia; and Dana Gray of Ridgeland; a son, Buddy Killen of Philadelphia; sisters, Jewel Warren and Hazel Gray, both of Philadelphia; and Bonnie McMullan of Clear Spring, Md.; brothers, Edward Killen of Moss Point; and Seibert, Sennett and Willis Killen, all of Philadelphia; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
    Visitation will be today from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
    Mark Ray Waterman
    Retired Navy
    Services for Mark Ray Waterman will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Naval Air Station Meridian's Chapel with Chaplins Cook and Neis officiating. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Waterman, 41, of Evansville, Ind., died Friday, April 5, 2002, at his home in Meridian. He was active in the U.S. Navy for 22 years, and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He received an associate's degree from East Mississippi Community College and was working on his bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland.
    Survivors include his wife, April Rust Waterman of NAS Meridian; four children, Patrick Waterman, Katie Waterman, Lauren Waterman and Ryan Clevidance; a mother, Rose Waterman, a brother David Waterman, and sisters, Kim Taylor and Laurie Nelson, all of Evansville, Ind. and several nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Waterman.
    The family requests memorials be made to Citizens Bank, Waterman family fund.
    Pallbearers will be members of the military color guard.
    Visitation will be today from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. at the NAS Chapel.

    Arrangements were incomplete at Berry &Gardner Funeral Home for Mary M. Short, 80, of Meridian, who died Saturday, April 6, 2002 at her home.
    Laurin Norwood
    Arrangements were incomplete at Stephens Funeral Home for Laurin Norwood, who died Saturday, April 6, 2002, in Meridian.
