Lauderdale County supervisors discussed ways to improve parking around the county courthouse and jail in a work session Thursday.
District 3 Supervisor Craig Hitt said a survey of existing parking spaces showed the county needs about 150 spaces for employees who work in the courthouse and annex.
Hitt said 135-150 spaces could be made available around the Lauderdale County Detention Facility. Paving a county-owned gravel parking lot near the annex is also an option, Hitt said.
