    OBITUARIES FOR FRIDAY, OCT. 19, 2001

    MALCOLM MOORE
    Retired
    Services for Malcolm Moore will be held today at 10 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Collinsville Methodist Church Cemetery.
    Mr. Moore, 90, of Collinsville, died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2001, in Meridian.
    Survivors include his wife, Mary Lucille Moore, and a daughter, Carolyn Donald, both of Collinsville; a son, Barry Malcolm Moore of Cummings, Ga.; and five grandchildren, Monica Adams of Philadelphia, Dr. Lorie Valentine of Smithville Flats, N.Y., Ashley Belvin and Scott Belvin, both of Collinsville, and Dr. Robert Moore of Jackson.

    UNION Services for Bill Strickland will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Pine Grove Church of God in Neshoba County, with the Rev. Randy Edgar officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Milling Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Strickland, 84, of Union, died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2001, at Guardian Angel Hospice. He was born Nov. 5, 1916, in Mississippi. Mr. Strickland was a member of the American Legion and was also a World War II veteran.
    Survivors include his wife, Frances Strickland of Union; four daughters, Peggy Graham and Linda Morrow, both of Conehatta, and Brenda Pinter and Sandra White, both of Union; six sons, Jimmy Strickland, Jerry Strickland, Robert Strickland and Terry Strickland, all of Union, Charlie Strickland of Yazoo City and Paul Strickland of Conehatta; 35 grandchildren; 63 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his wife, Avis Deweese Strickland; his father, Oscar Strickland; his mother, Emma Matthews Strickland; and his sisters, Lavada Strickland, Lora Strickland, Odean Pullins, Zelma Lillis, Bernice McDaniels and Ethel McGee.
    Pallbearers will be Chris Strickland, Jamie Strickland, Charlie Strickland, Jimmy Strickland, Robert Strickland and Terry Strickland.
    Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Strickland, Paul Strickland and Ray Mabry.
    Visitation will be today from 4:30 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

    Services for Sidney Earl Aycock Sr. will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Highland Baptist Church, with the Revs. Carl White and Franklin Denham officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Aycock, 70, of Meridian, died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2001, in his home.
    Mr. Aycock was born in Scott County on Nov. 1, 1930. He married Mary Elizabeth Stewart on Dec. 30, 1951. Mr. Aycock served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He toured with the Martha Carson Band and entertained on the "Grand Ole Opry." He played with Danny and The Dudes and affectionately portrayed "Cousin Sneezeweed," and was heavily involved in radio and television broadcasting throughout his life.
    He served as president of Aycock Insurance Agency Inc. and had recently been active in the Southern gospel music industry as a promoter, broadcaster and co-host of a local television show, "Share the Joy." Mr. Aycock was a lifelong member of Highland Baptist Church and was an avid golfer.
    Survivors include his wife, Mary Elizabeth Stewart Aycock, two sons, John W. Aycock and Earl Aycock Jr. and his wife, Jill, two daughters, Tina Aycock Dyess and her husband, Bill, and Mary Frances Aycock, all of Meridian; eight grandchildren, Eric Aycock, Erin Aycock Gay, John W. Aycock Jr., Regan Aycock, Anna Aycock, Brian Stringer, Elizabeth Smith and Michael Smith; a great-grandchild, Lance Gay Jr.; and three brothers, Jim Stewart, Joe Stewart and Charles Stewart.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Otho Neal and Annie Lee Aycock; and a brother, Wayne D. Aycock.
    Pallbearers will be Ronnie Massey, Richard Ferguson, Carl Fitzgerald, Stanley Frazier, Dr. David Slife and Len Maith.
    Honorary pallbearers will be his Highland Baptist Church Sunday school class.
    The family requests memorials be made to Peavey House or Highland Baptist Church.
    Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

    Arrangements were incomplete at Clark's Memorial Funeral Home for George Ray Parnell, 61, of Meridian, who died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2001, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
