Daniel Zach Spurgeon

Daniel Zach Spurgeon, 39, of Russellville passed away Aug. 6. A celebration of life was held at Spry Memorial Chapel Aug. 10 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Daniel loved kayaking and the outdoors. He was also a big gamer. Daniel and his family would play board games every time they visited.
Daniel is survived by his wife of 19 years, Jessica Spurgeon; mother, Phyllis Anderson; brothers, Davy Spurgeon (Ashley), Dillon Spurgeon (Teresa); nephew, Riley Spurgeon, all from Florence; niece, Caitlyn Spurgeon of Opelika.; grandmother, Verna Fenn.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Spurgeon; stepfather, Wayne Murphy; grandparents, George Sandusky, Lola Wood and Glen Spurgeon.

William Hugh “Billy” Bishop, 75, of Russellville, passed away July 31, at Helen Keller Hospital.
He was born June 24,1951 to Guy Franklin and Dolly Bishop. Billy was an active member of the Washington Avenue Church of Christ. His faith was very important to him. Billy loved his family very much. He was patient and kind and could always light up a room and put a smile on your face. He enjoyed playing with his grandchildren and watching Auburn football and Russellville athletics.
Billy is survived by his wife of 52 years, Deborah Bishop; daughter; Emily (Shane) Kutzley; son, Wesley (Brooke) Bishop; daughter-in-law Leti (John) Beard; brother, Franklin Eugene (Linda) Bishop; sister, Angela (Mike) Kimbrough; grandchildren: Hunter Kutzley, Natalie Bishop, Sean Bishop, Taitum Bishop, Teagan Bishop, Eivin Kutzley, Trevor Bishop and Syderra Kutzley.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, Guy and Dolly Bishop; son, Shannon Hugh Bishop; brothers, Jim Bishop and Tom Bishop; sisters Janet Bishop Torstenson and Vicky Bishop Nixon.

Lena Louise Kimbrough, 94, of Tuscumbia, passed away Aug. 5. Spry Memorial Chapel assisted the family.
